You buy a console for the future not for right now. I can agree the Wii U does have better games for now but in less than a year the PS4 will have that honor (for me and I think the majority of gamers)

I absolutely agree. PS4 + Wii U or XBOne +Wii U is better than PS4 + XBOne

My GF's brother and his wife wants one now btw. They are big gaming spenders so I do not think it will be long before they get one (they have 360s, PS3s, a Wii, and a XBOne now)

I have a gaming PC that can play BF3 and BF4 at 1080p at 40-45 FPS. But I played my PS3 over that most of the time so obviously my PS4 will be over it

Yeah, the console is a real head scratcher for folks who haven't played one. The gamepad and console do not give potential consumers much to go with, so it's easy to see why so many people are confused on what Wii U is.

That said, once you hold the GamePad in your hands and try out its multiple functionalities, it's pretty obvious on how the Pad can really add a new dimension to the game. I had two friends buy a Wii U after they played Nintendo Land and ZombiU at my place. It's a really unique experience and the console offers a lot of quality exclusives for anyone wanting to give it a whirl.

It's obviously at this point a niche console that caters to a niche audience, but I'm having a great time so far. Glad to see that you are too. ^_^

Also, I think the one thing they should keep when they move on to their next systems is Miiverse. It's another "huh?" addition that makes perfect sense once you actually use it. Probably my favorite feature for the console.

Speaking of which, my NNID is... Smeags. Just putting it out there!

PS4+WiiU is the best combo ever for perfect gaming experience. Ah, add to that the 3DS so your wallet is empty and your schedule is full.

I have not messed with Miiverse so I can not comment either way. As of now I am confused with is as well. lol

 

I feel Nintendo dropped the ball, I think most people would love the Wii U, there is just absolutely nothing wrong with it and it is very affordable

 

I am going to add this to my first post as well. Free online was a huge factor for me. If Nintendo charged a subscription for online I would not have gotten a Wii U, this is why I will more than likely never get an Xbox One

Thank you for this personal impressions and I totally agree. It's interesting to see how other people think about the Wii U. I think it is a system you will only understand if you try it and so thank you for being realistic and that you did not say things like: 'OMFG PS is soooooo much better. That's crap!!!' like some people do it^^



I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

you have no idea how happy i am to hear you say that! i tried telling people that and they just laughted at me.  The best part is i can quickly skip over youtube commercials by going straight to the end! 

also glad you enjoy the wii-u itself.  If i might add, i feel the wii u PRO controller is  > than DS4, however i also feel DS3 is > than DS4. i just find the touch sensor pointless. its a backward step from a DS3 and wii-u gamepad.
