I don't see a problem with it. Some people value their time more than their money, and don't want to waste 70 or so hours leveling from 0-90.

Personally, $60 in exchange for 2-3 full days worth of my time seems like a bargain if all I want to do is play end game content/pvp.

It's also nice for people that have leveled 4-5 characters already and are made sick by the thought of going through the process again.

Still doesn't beat this:

Leveling up 10 levels -> (+ taxes) 4 dollars.

Dunno what's the level cap in WoW, but it's 200 in Vesperia.

That's eighty dollars if you want to buy your way through the game!

But on Tales of Vesperia you got a kickass game and storyline to go with your leveling. Its also not an online game.

WoW is though. This makes fun of the people who bothered to level their toons to lvl90.

That's an interesting phrase. Those used to be called cheats, and they were free. :'(

Mmm...well, WoW does have storyline and, to certain extent, endgame. But yeah, I'll give you that, Vesperia is awesome.

Still, pretty cheap from Namco. No one is forcing people to purchase it though. Vesperia is demanding but it doesn't require mindless grinding.

You can always download the Free Gel Pack, if it makes you feel better :)

I guess another argument would be that that leveling system is completely optional and not necessary to beat the game on Talesof Vesperia and in WoW its a necessity to reach the end-game, wich is where the bulk of content is supplied to.

Played it for 2.5 years. No idea what the story is.

Something about the Alliance and Horde and some big enemies....yeah. Maybe I just filtered it all out, or perhaps its mostly optional.

lol WoW is a corpse now, his old glory just die three or four years ago,

34 years playing games.
