Do you have an overview onthe weekly sales of PS2 and WII in their first few month?
Because I remember to have read something last week that the Xbox one and PS4 have set records in terms of first release sales and also weekly sales in the console market!

In terms of genre's Sony and Nintendo are pretty evenly matched. However, nearly all of Nintendo's major releases are E rated with a few reaching T. That somewhat dampens variety a lot.

I'm not bashing Nintendo, i love their games (whole reason i got a 3DS), but there is no denying they need to stop catering so heavily to kids. In that respect Sony have a lot more variety, as they make several games from E to M.

I think the majority consider PS4 1) the best piece of hardware, 2) best investment for the future for the  game experience, 3) Sony Brand Name, 4) the best Console for multiplatform games, and you know how much multiplatform games are important, 5) Sony 1st Party Devs, and 6) very competitive price for its performance. This PS4 will sell like hot cakes. PS2 be carefull !

As i said before, they have the consumer trust. Thats why its selling even though it has no games.

This is not just something like last years support. Sony has proved to deliver the good with the PS1, the PS2 and even with the awfully launched full of problem PS3. Any customer under these circunstanaces will feel complete trust on buying the next Playstation cause they know they will get due value for it.

Yeah... treating customers like someone you care about really works versus "pissing" on them. If only Microsoft and EA would learn that eh? Well too late! They already blew it. Trust is not something to easily achieved. Especially when you treat your customers badly, it will be especially difficult to recover. It a process that takes years and years. Sony got it right.

I thought the same thing, but because ninetailschris said PS2/WII weekly sales are still way more. I'm interested in his links/overview of the numbers.

nice lies, show proof pokemon and metroid are coming to the wiiu.  wheres the proof starfox u is happening, not just empty dreams of a failing consoles fanbase.

if media markt in Berlin Germany gets 50 PS4s for 3 months no wonder its sold out. (50 per shop that is)

And its a Sony product thats why its hyped.

Also despite reading that its sold out all the time I dont see anything about the console anywhere. So when you want to stop that "hype" stop writing about it being sold out i guess?

Also for everyone intrested in the PS4. Media Markt constantly sells PS3 consoles for 370€ with extended 4 year warranty (PS4s returned to sony for repair or whatever and then send back to MediaMarkt) So even if it still is one of the "broken" consoles it does not matter since you get 4 years of warranty.

No. Leo-J and I were debating franchises. Not consoles. 

An iteration of Pokemon has already been confirmed for Wii U. Whether it is a full fledged game or the likes of Pokemon Stadium is still to be announced.

Show me proof that God of War, Ratchet,ect are comining to PS4. While they haven't been confirmed, it is a good assumption they will, even though their last iterations did not have the greatest sales. A new series in Jak & Daxter hasn't been seen on consoles since PS2 but it is still fair for Leo-J to use it because it is a reccuring franchise . Same thing with either Metroid or Star Fox. Metroid is most likely a definite and Star Fox is a good possibility, not an empty dream.
