Almost all of music sucks today. it's all auto-tune this,auto-tune that. Then you have your miley cyrus and justin bieber's of the world. Everyone always talks about what there doing,instead of there actual dam music!!!!  I personally like rock and somewhat heavy rock music,but not screaming heavy metal,but most of that is crap these days. Most rock,tends to be watered down these days,to appeal to the teenie-boppers. I used to like Korn and linkin park back in the day,now there just nothing but crap pop acts in my opinion. Shinedown did the same thing. bruno mars is good,but he just rips of music from the 60's and 70's. If a female sucks talent wise,they just sex up there music videos,to distract people from how terrible they are. Am,I the only one that hates the music of today.

I agree. Most of today's music is  absolute trash. The sad thing is that many failed singers can get really popular thanks to the Internet. Their fame may not last decades or anything, but it's  still there for a certain period of time and that shouldn't happen.

Right now, I get the impression that 'singers' think there is a competition going on of who can make the most wild, ridiculous and crazy noises with their voices.
I would rather sit near some road works and hear a jackhammer all day than most current singers.

I don't know how anyone who likes Linkin Park can find anything to be crap, but to each his own!

just one question, what exactly does music have to do with this website, shouldn't this thread be about music in games rather than music in general after all this is a video game website.

for this topic though id have to agree, music has got realy shite, for me the gold years were the 90's and early 2000's where Jungle, D&B, Garage, old skool, heavy metal, nu metal and rock (i cant stand pop music, rap or anything else in the mainstream charts).

99% of music has always been crap. It just gets progressively worse. The golden age of music was cave man drums. Of course, kids love it. When they get older they'll miss the good ol' days of Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, too. It's the way of the world.

I do admit that a lot of the sound is manufactured with no soul and artists that don't play their own instruments but that doesn't stop me from finding new things that I like. Maybe it's not the music. Maybe it's where you're looking.

Actually I was someone who strongly agreed with you a few years ago but I feel as though musics changing in the 2010's. From 2000 - 2010 it was horrible music I couldn't bare to hear the garbage they played. But recently I don't know what it is but I actually like a lot of the songs I hear. Daft Punks new album was amazing and that was full of auto tune. I'll agree musicians like Justin Bieber and Mily Cyrus are still just awful but you don't hear much from them anymore. 

I'm a big classic rock fan and always have been but it's just starting to get old, I feel like I need a break from it. It's been pounded in my head for the last 20 years it's like I have stockholm syndrome I've heard it so many times that I just accept it to be great. It could be the radio, every day at work the radios playing and it's always the same station that plays the same classic rocks songs over and over, if I hear Pat benatar singing hit me with your best shot one more time I'm personally going to drive to her house and  kick her in the face, I'm just sick of it. An old guy at work actually agrees with me he's very much into the need music today. The stuff out now seems refreshing and it's very catching, get's me pumped I like it.

You just need to go in it with a positive attitude, if you try to listen to new song and your expecting/hoping it's horrible that's what your gonna think, have an open mind.
