Final Fantasy VII

The diehard fans of FFVII who beg daily for an HD remake that is never happening and tear apart all who enjoyed other Final Fantasy games.Remember that without them the games you love would have never been made and you owe them for it.

Genwunners

There was only one generation of Pokemon that was good, the first one of course. Every other generation since then was garbage and if you enjoy the new games you must be some retarted 6 year old.

Well I have never even heard the term genwunner... And nobody over the age of 10 even talks about pokemon... And ff7 remake is going to happen... I dont think these fanbases are bad, so i wouldnt say one is worse than the other...

Although a big fan of FF7 I really think people should let go of the idea of a remake. The way SE is going right now would probably make them destroy the entire game.

If you are a pokemon fan these guys are your fucking arch enemy. Basically people who believe Gen 1 (Red and Blue) are the best Pokemon games ever and the rest are shit despite the obvious problems with the first games and the fixes made to newer games

Well, even if I hate the annoying FFVII fanboys who dismiss the masterpiece that is Final Fantasy IX, I think I will go with genwunners. I've seen a lot of them  go " Pokemon is dead!! The new  designs are so stupid!! Pokemon is dead!!!!11111 ;(( " when they seem to forget about Pokemon like Geodude ( a rock with arms),  Grimer ( I don't know what the hell Grimer is even supposed to be. A piece of radioactive shit?), Snorlax ( Nintendo approves obesity), Jynx ( Nintendo approves racism. This only applies tothe original design though), etc..

I have a different opinion. The worst are those that werent there to experience it and think theyare overated.
Both fans of those 2 franchises have a very good point. The best experiences are the fresh ones.

Honestly, a lot of the FF7 camp annoys me. Well, some of them, anyway.

In retrospect, I think FF7 was one of the worst things to happen to the franchise. That was when the series really became graphics focused and kicked in with the ridiculous, nonsensical plots. In my opinion, it was a downgrade from FF6 in almost every way. It was also so popular that we now have all these Final Fantasy fans who don't even really like JRPGs. They just want more bad-ass heroes with giants swords and for every new title in the series to be a FF7 remake.

I loved the game back then but I hate the effects it had.

If you're someone who bases your opinions on what the internet has to say then the Final Fantasy series is pretty much toast. Anything other than an FF7 remake is always going to be torn apart.

Pokemon, I know nothing about. I just think of it as Madden with cute monsters.
