Monolith Soft has at least 2 teams, one in Tokyo and one in Kyoto.

The Kyoto studio is relatively new and small, and they were hiring staff for a 3DS project in 2012, before Project X Zone was out. Then, at the beginning of last year, they were hiring more people. I believe this is from where the rumored 3DS game comes from.

On a related note, the Tokyo studio is recruiting people now...

I really want to see a Majora's Mask remake, but I'd kind of prefer to see it happen on Wii-U rather than 3DS, especially if they no-shit up the graphics ante to Wii-U levels, or even TP level (I could live with that). I know s project like this would be fairly demanding, but I just really want to see that game redone and redone right. OoT 3D was nice and all, but it wasn't a genuine remake of the title. Can you imagine a Majora's Mask remake in HD? Damn...

I think Majora's Mask 3D is fairly likely, considering Grezzo hasn't been too busy and the assets are already made for Ocarina 3D.

 

Other likely games for the second half of 2014 published by Nintendo include:

  • Pokemon RoyalRuby/SupremeSapphire
  • Super Mario 3D Land 2
  • Something from intellignet Systems
  • Fantasy Life

Meanwhile, 3rd Party 3DS releases in America will include

  • Sonic Boom
  • Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney
  • Some Dragon Quest title, probably 7
  • King of Pirates
  • Scribblenauts 5
  • Devil Survivor 2 3D
  • Persona Q

So all in all, a decent year for the 3DS.

I think Dragon Quest 7 and Zelda Majora's Mask are coming by the end of the year.

I was the only one that voted for Ice Climbers? :'(

All we really need is Pokémon Z and a localized Dragon Quest VII , and you have a pretty solid AAA lineup for 2014. Hopefully we get the Dragon Quest Monsters remake too :)
