is not that bad, XboxOne is also down YoY in respect to WiiU ;)

Do you even know what YOY means? Evidently not ....

I will phrase it like i would do it for a little girl for you to understand.

XONE is also down YoY if you where to compare it to WiiU 2013 Jan monthly sales

Even a little girl wouldn't understand that. Here let me help you. Year over year. That is what YOY means. XB1 has been out 3 months.

I've never actually seen anyone on this site claim a system is down YOY by comparing it to another system ... that is just ..... darwin stuff.

Aielyn sounds like an actual Nintendo shill to me. I wouldn't take him seriously.

JUst plain retarded how most little kids, demographically 16-24 year olds, does not understand what a business that has shareholders goes through. Once again to appease the shareholders every year you need make an calculated guess on how your year will end up. Iwata made a horrible guess due to the U.S. economy and the worlds. The PS3, Wii, and 360 all flourished because of the release before the U.S. housing market crashed. When you don't meet these numbers you piss off shareholders. Reason why Nintendo has more negative articles because they are a public trading company. Playstation and Xbox are spinoffs from Sony and Microsoft where most shareholders of those companies could give a rats ass about.

I know these figures are not great but they've really upset some Nintendo fans it seems?

What are you going on about now? WiiU isn't failing because of the US crisis. You're aware that consoles with an average price of $450 sold 4 million units in the US last holiday right? It has nothing to do with anything.

I'm not finding NPD's official number on Nintendo hardware. Is there a link?

All I can find is that there were no numbers released to NPD by Nintendo.

I'd guess that would only make VGC's prediction as good as NPD's.

creamsuger is as offical as it gets, its 49k.

Link?

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I think Ninty needs to either have a mass change in the marketing image of the Wii U or simply drop the price down to $200, hope it sells, and hope to recoup the losses with strong software sales. A $200 system would definitely look more appealing than what the competition is selling it at and they will have the games to justify the purchase. But I am not sure if Ninty is willing to do it. Nor am I completely convinced that they have proved to customers the specialty of the Wii U to force upgrades from the Wii and other systems. And that is where the heart of the problem exists with Wii U. It is a confusing system. It shares the name with the Wii but in most regards, quite a different system than the Wii. It has this tablet controller that is cool but seemingly useless.

Everything about it just so opposite of the Wii which was clear on its marketing image and purpose. Personally I don't think it is possible to really change that hold marketing brand they started with after a year so I think they should opt for the massive price drop when Mario Kart comes out.

Oh and nice to talk to you again Seece.  Been awhile.
