Are you playing on a magical Wii prototype that runs in HD? XD

I played it on a Wii that saw The Last Story running under 5 fps when things got too crowded.

Dat HD comes at a price. ;)

Being evasive now, aren't you? :)

Put homebrew channel on the Wii if you don't want to spend money on Lego games, then install The Complete Saga, pick up two controllers and start a massive-scale battle. I can't offer more solid proof that your personal empirical experience over it, though you insist in mocking my argument with the Wii HD thing.

You're arguing that a 480p game has less jaggies than a 720p or near-720p game. Sorry, I just cannot take that seriously.

Mario Galaxy had less jaggies than Alan Wake, so I don't really comprehend your surprise.

Shin'en make 2 hours iPhone quality games. That fit on a 2GB SD card... It's not difficult to make good looking games that runs smoothly with many effects on screen when the levels are nothing more than big spheric rocks over a painted background.

Still one of the only devs to use tricks PS3/360 can't do. And their new games will have 4k-8k textures.

Yet the PS3 and 360 still have better looking games their theirs. Your point is moot. These effects are all nice and dandy, but they don't really demonstrate much. Other than the Wii U has more modern feature set that are held back by a lack of horsepower to make the difference between the Wii U and the HD twins noticeable.

PS3/360 couldn't run the game because it has effects they are not capable of. Nor do they have the RAM to use 4k-8k textures liberally. You're arguing that first wave games show the system's full capability. That's just silly, no system is maxed out of the gate.

Yeah! And the WIi's architecture was also an update from the Gamecube's. Keep on spinning.

It will hurt when reality finally hits your face. =(

Apparently common sense is spin to you. You have no idea what you're talking about if you think Wii U's hardware is similar to the Wii.

Aside from the GPU, yeah it's CPU is EXTREMELY similar to gamecube's gecko. Even then the GPU comes from the tried and true VLIW5 architecture that was from AMD on the PC space.

AKA that GPU in the WII U would be considered Hynad's HD 5770 little brother.

Wii U GPU is vastly different to Wii/Gamecube's. Like, not even apples to oranges, but apples to suspension bridges different.

That doesn't matter seeing as how it's GPU came from PC so shouldn't it be easier to utilize the GPU ?

- Doesn't prioritise high end graphics, just aims to look stylish. Also Platinum are hardly a dev with a history of pushing tech.

isnt the point of this thread to talk about how awesome and nextgen-ish bayonetta looks?

As good as it looks, I don't think it pushes the very limits of Wii U or anything.

me neither, but found it kinda funny considering the OP

Been a while since I played Alan Wake, but it's just 576p, isn't it?

Is there a twist somewhere where you are actually playing wii games on dolphin with 1080p + AA?

Also, love ur new avatar

You have no proof it's a PC GPU.

At this point, I think you're the Nintendo's fanbase version of Selnor.

As I said before, I hope it won't hurt too much. You're in for a brutal awakening. =(
