And as a PC gamer, I can appreciate those details, but those are exactly that: details.

The Wii U has the power to render a game world in which the only real advantage the PS4/XBox1 has is in the details.  That is a pretty good summary of everything I've ever said.  This is why seeing these games makes me laugh at people calling the Wii U underpowered.

If my show continues and grows (and it may not, it may end up being something I'll have to call it quits on if the views and subscribers don't roll in on a growing scale), I had every intention of playing this perspective.  I had planned to show off Bayonetta 2 and 'X' to people, but make sure the console was hidden, and ask them what system they think the game is on.  I know that this episode would have created a flurry of responses, but show the reality of media and biased perception against reality.

Of course it's just details, that's how graphics improve. The only difference between the graphics of the original Tomb Raider on PS1 and the reboot on PC at max settings are details: More detailed character models, more detailed environments, more detailes textures, more detailed shadows, more particle effects, etc. If you're going write off the graphical improvements that the PS4 would alow as just details, you might as well say the same about the differences between PS1 graphics and PS4 graphics.

Of course, if you mean that the extra details would be too small to make a notable difference in a game like Bayonetta 2, I'll have to agree with you, but then again I really don't care about graphics. For X, on the other hand, I think the extra power of the PS4 or XBOne could be really helpful, like it is for all open world games. More power means a bigger draw distance, bigger world, more enemies on the screen, more enemies on the map (I don't think there were ever more than a dozen enemies in the game at any one time in Xenoblade), shorter loading times, better enemy and ally AI, in addition to the obvious graphical improvements.

how can you not say this doesnt look a generation ahead of X

On the contrary, how can you not stop saying that it doesn't not look not better at all when not compared to something that's not the Wii U

I said I don't care about graphics, not that I'm blind to them. I know that PS4 games look better than Wii U games, I just don't care.

did you read the op, its about wiiu closing the gap interms of graphics, when you compare X to witcher 3, you can compare direct feed captures if you like, the jump is huge, almost as big as wii to 360 jump.

If that gif is of the Witcher 3 then that is the first PS4 game I'm impressed with. Looks great.

Not as epic as Mario Kart 8 though! :p

I must be the only one who actually thinks Mario kart 8 looks amazing but bayonetta and x not so much o.O

@ot I doubt it, I am pretty sure both sony and ms will have games on their systems that will make the gap way bigger than it is seen now. Ps4 and xboxone are barely in their first year.

No, I felt the same although I wasn't technically impressed with Mariokart I was very impressed with the art style and what looks like great playability. Bayonetta looks truly awful technically and in playability terms. X looks looks both technically good and weak in different ways and certainly no better overall than 360/PS3. Frankly the 360 and PS3 easily compete with the performance level of the wii u shown here. For anyone to perceive the wii u as powerful after seeing the videos on offer is purely fanboy nonsense. At best last gen. Both PS4 and Xbox One are on a different level.

Again, I'm not saying it doesn't look better than X, just that I don't care that it does. I think there are plenty of PS1 games that still look good and if a game came out this year with PS1-level graphics, I wouldn't mind at all.

Also, I'm not even replying to the OP, you can plainly see that I'm quoting a different post.

Hahaha

And why are you posting PC footage of The Witcher 3!?  Come on now...

About the poll results, I guess it's safe to say that there are a larger number of people who agree that the Wii U just isn't as weak as "hardcore gamers" and the media want to make it out to be.

Also, I still see people who missed something I stated earlier: why is it that only the PS4/XBox1 will get "so much better" with time, but the Wii U won't?  That sounds pretty biased, because I'm sure that, while Nintendo is behind in terms of HD development, we're going to see an increase in what the Wii U can do as well.  As I said before, we won't see it from 3rd parties, because the Wii U is an afterthought, so it's up to ONLY Nintendo to really push the system, and they're already starting to pick up the pace (SM3DW is a graphical achievement for Nintendo, anyone who owns it can see this, and so does Eurogamer!).  The hurricane that will occur at E3 with the Zelda reveal is going to be all kinds of popcorn munching time, lol

Part of the reason may just be that you failed to put in an option that says "No, the gap is still the same" without coming across as a joke. Both the "PS4 IS GOD" option and the "PS4 sells better, so it is better" one are clearly joke options and all three of the other options are pro-Wii U and clearly not jokes. I know that I, for one, didn't vote in the poll until you mentioned the results because of this.
