I really only wanted three characters. Mega Man, Little Mac, and Palutena. 2/3 so far. He seems to have a lot of super armor attacks, which should help him out with projectiles. Weak recovery though. Should be a fun addition :).

Really? out of the 5 newcomers, he was the most likely to join imo. In my top 10 realistic newcomers for SSB little mac was definitely almost at the top :)


I didn't know much about Little Mac before hand.  I just assumed that there were plenty of other characters who would be put in before him.

he is definitely big! He is a retro character, then he was kinda a big deal as an assist trophy in SSBB  (meaning people wanting him in SSB). Take a look at his franchise sales too  http://www.vgchartz.com/game/6401/mike-tysons-punch-out/

your going to be in luck! Palutena will make it, only way she wont is if medusa/magnus is in instead! anyway looks like your 3 most wanted all (pre reveal) all had gooood chances to be in the game.

Mega man was definitely the right choice of 3rd party characters. Little Mac represents punch out and is pretty popular anywayz. Now all we need are representives of the other small Ninty franchises!

Starfy ~ Starfy (Revealed to be Assist Trophy which i dont mind)

Villager ~ Animal Crossing (I didn't expect this)

Wii Fit Trainer ~ Wii Fit (lol)

*Mii's ~ Not tehniqually a franchise i guess.

Takamaru ~ Ninja Castle ????

 

Am i missing any? BTW Rosalina was in my top 10 as well :) thats 2/10 correct :0

If you think about it the Golden Sun and Sin & Punishment franchises are very similar in regards to their chances of getting in smash bros.

Saki+Isaac cuz they are original of their franchises and much much more popular. Also since if either/both were to be playable they have to represent the entire franchise like little mac does for punch out. 

I think the only character that is a posterboy yet not the original character of the same franchise is Ness.

Anyway them 2 and i'll be happy as many others, especially Saki for me (even though Isaac>>>Saki in terms of actually getting into SSB cuz of the franchises GS>S+P in popularity)

Yeah you're probably right about the original theory. Isa and Matthew could become assist trophies so Saki and Isaac could be playable though.

So you prefer Saki? I do too even though I think Golden Sun is a superior franchise to Sin and Punishment. I think its because he has such huge potential if he is included as playable and he would be extremely stylish.

Every time I play this stage in S&P I see how much potential there is.

I think Palutena has a far better chance than Magnus. Not using a sword gives her a chance to be more unique, and she's far more important to the franchise than Magnus.  I could see Miis in it, but Saki and Isaac are a little too obscure, although I would like him in there.  Whether or not Isaac makes it really depends on whether or not Nintendo plans to ever revive the Golden Sun franchise.

Oh i agree :) Palutena>>>>>Magnus. I just found it funny when you plyed him! *he's also in 3 chapters!

I dont think the franchise has to be too popular. Both Saki + Isaac represent 2 franchises. Just having them in would be good! Out of the franchises already in SSB, we dont need that many more!

Mario= We are good at 5.

Zelda= 3 (this we can have 5 of as well, Ganon+???... Also Sheik but counts as 1 with Zelda)

Kirby= 2 (metaknight would make 3 so its good)

Pokemon= 2 (will be 4-5)

Starfox= 1 (Add falco againand newcomer krstal)

Kid Icarus= 1 (add Palutena to make 2)

DK= 1 (can either be Diddy for 2 or Diddy+Dixie for 3)

Earthbound= 0 (i think only ness will be in)

Fire Emblem= 1 (Chrom will be #2 also Lucina for Marth Skin dammit!)

Pikmin= 1 (I think 1 is fine but Alp from Pikmin 3 might join!)

Everything else 1 (Punch out/Ice Climbers/Golden Sun/Sin+Punishment)

Both be very unique imo! Both are swordsman but Isaac fights with magic. Could be slow with huge projectiles, and Saki sword is a gun made from energy. HE Could be quick *** character thats not as strong (like Zero Suit samus!)
