Forums - Gaming Discussion - What are some minuscule things in gaming that annoy you or drive you crazy?

Games where there are skill based or strategy gameplay, but difficulty that is so easy, using any sort of skill or setting up a strategy takes more time than if you were to just button mash your way through or attacking with whatever you've got available at that moment yet still being able to succeed with no problem at all.

That's an interesting point.  You mean like how you can reload and unused bullets are returned instantly to the "pool"?  Every shooter I play, I always make sure that reloading with half a clip doesn't waste bullets--I don't know why I still bother, as it never happens.  It's made me into an obsessive reloader who pops in a new clip after firing once or twice.

Yeah, exactly.

I personally wouldn't mind if your clips were displayed on the side of the screen and "rotated" from auto-reload, with manual reloading allowing you to choose which clip to use. (This process would be particularly smooth using the GamePad's/Vita's second screen.) Though this would also require a "fuse clips" feature of some sort that would take a short amount of time to perform whenever no enemies are nearby.

Though of course I'd only like to see this in relatively slow-paced games like Fallout and Metro. Regarding competitive multiplayer in its current form, this would serve only as a distraction.

I agree that it would be nice to see a few games with more realistic reloading... but in general I don't like the emphasis on "realism" in FPS, I want to be able to reload in less than a second and carry a dozen huge guns and snipe with a handcannon (or at least snipe without having some daft slowed breathing button to press in addition to zoom/scope)

It would have been a nice addition to something like the original Resident Evil (or REmake) or other survival games.

I may be the only with this opinion but respawn times in multiplayer games.

So Im a pretty impatient guy so if I get killed, I want to respawn rightaway and start playing again lol. Like no 5 sec waits till next respawn.

Bugs.

Depends a lot on the game, in my opinion. Left 4 Dead is a prime example of realism taking the backseat in favor of smooth and faster gameplay while Fallout, Far Cry, TLOU and the likes are examples where immersion is vital to making the game more memorable. Battlefield is an example of having some of both.

Balancing is key.
