Forums - Gaming Discussion - Famitsu review scores - PS4 launch blowout

Since Trainwreck brought this to my attention and I haven't seen it posted anywhere else yet, thought I'd share:

http://gematsu.com/2014/02/famitsu-review-scores-issue-1314

First, here’s everything that’s not a PlayStation 4 Japanese launch title:

  • Chou no Doku: Hana no Kusari Taishou Tsuyakoi Ibun (PSV) – 9/9/7/7 [32/40]
  • Kuroko no Basuke: Shouri e no Kiseki (3DS) – 8/8/8/8 [32/40]
  • Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Taisen Sangokushi Engi (PS3) – 7/7/7/6 [27/40]
  • Strider (PS3) – 9/8/8/9 [34/40]
  • Yakuza: Ishin (PS3) – 9/9/10/10 [38/40]

And now, the PlayStation 4 Japanese launch titles:

  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (PS4) – 9/9/9/9 [36/40]
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts (PS4) – 9/9/9/9 [36/40]
  • Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends (PS4) – 9/10/9/9 [37/40]
  • Killzone: Shadow Fall (PS4) – 8/8/8/8 [32/40]
  • Knack (PS4) – 6/7/8/7 [28/40]
  • NBA 2K14 (PS4) – 9/9/9/9 [36/40]
  • Nobunaga’s Ambition: Creation (PS4) – 10/9/9/8 [36/40]
  • Resogun (PS4) – 9/8/9/7 [33/40]
  • Strider (PS4) – 9/8/8/9 [34/40]
  • Tomb Raider (PS4) – 9/9/9/10 [37/40]
  • Yakuza: Ishin (PS4) – 9/10/10/10 [39/40]

In related magazine news, the next issue of Famitsu will release two days before PlayStation 4′s February 22 in Japan. It will contain a 35-page PlayStation 4 buyer’s guide and 44-page PlayStation 4 software catalog.

Famitsu are not Knack fans.

And looks like Yakuza is the must-pick-up launch title for Japan. Shame it isn't exclusive really.

I'm hoping against hope that Koei will use this opportunity when the PS4 has no gaemz to localize a Nobunaga's Ambition for the first time in forever.

I know its Famitsu but... those Yakuza: Ishin scores <3

Strider! when do we get that.

Looks like a good launch selection for the Japanese.

Next week, I believe.

Half of those are games are on other system as well

Poor Knack... Such a failure...

I feel their review scores are a tad generous...

But I guess good to see Yakuza getting good reviews as it is probably the big PS4 game in Japan, despite its PS3 presence

Best launch score for any console ever in Japan... crazy god scores... except Knack everything over 30 (that means over 8/10 avg.)
