Nah, gonna be a short gen. Nintendo will obviously see an unprecedented decline, and the Xbox will see a considerable decline in it's own right as well.

PS4 is the only one that stands a chance of growth, and even then, while I could see as high as 120 million, I could see as low as 45 million as well. Not even joking, I can see things going SERIOUSLY bad by mid gen if everything I think can go wrong for the industry indeed goes wrong all around the same time...

lol two palets.  Just check online its soldout many places, they are still no where near meeting demand and keeping shelves stocked, and that with out any games.  My city of 5 million has not seen PS4 stock anywhere, it takes literally 10/15 minutes and they are all gone.

You are right hype will fade, but that where games come in.  They rekindle that hype.  Why has sony been taking their sweet ass time with exclusives, casue they can.  Ps4 is selling to damn well to rush any game.  And when they finaly drop they will be shined polished to perfection, no rush jobs no good games that could have been great.

This is the console of this gen, the consumer #1 choice.

I heard all this "MS has the money" Bs for 7 years now, they are not going to just sink money into xbox without it being profitable, there is more talk of selling xbox all totether. MS cannot control the market or is not an invincible force. Sony is proving that.

See thats the problem, you think it's in the bag already. We are 3 months in. Not years bro. My god. You can't tell the future as much as I can't but as MS walked out of the DRM ok, they will make adjustments along the way.  They can drop to 399 with Kinect by fall of next year with no issue. Sony cannot, they need profits now.  They are losing everywhere accept PS4, they will keep the price as high as they can for as long as they can.

Yep and in that 7 years. Xbox went from a 25 million lifetime Console, to 80 Million lifetime console and climbing. You seem to forget RROD almost Ruined them and plunged sales. I love that vghchatz was making RROD threads every second calling for MS's end. Yet this never comes up in discussion now. It's, they had a year head start with no bumps in the road that they had to overcome. MS will over come this, just like they did RROD and DRM issues.  They are selling fine. Europe needs some work but being that it's $100 more and selling with out issue, I can see MS coming out swinging when Halo launches.

So don't use the year head start argument if you're not even going to bring up RROD as a set back far greater then the Year headstart.

And Uncharted 4 is coming, and all other Sony exclusives and 3rd party games that run and look better on PS4.

lol MS money, yahh yet its biggest shareholders want to kill the fraking xbox thats how happy they are dumping money at it.  So get over some delusion of MS money means greatness and success for Xbox, shareholders will not tolarate such sentiments. 

PS4 does not need to save it, they already decied to kill half their product lines and focus primerly on PS and a few others.  They basiclaly have to succed or die, this is some good motivation Sony has over its comp.  Sony only though is kill the comp make PS4 massive success.  While at MS some are thingking how to kill the Xbox.  Intresting is it not.

many shareholders want to keep xbox too. Only the negative gets out in the news. To base your argument off of this is great. They wanted to kill it with the original xbox, did it happen? No

This site never acknowledged Xbox presence and years back people laughed, when other said Xbox will break 50 million. This site has made horrible predictions over and over, always in favor of Sony.  Yet it hasn't played out that way in the slightest. To say Xbox won't get competitive or drop kinect if it needs to, is funny. THey can drop kinect and undercut PS4 in a blink of a eye. This would entice many to jump ship. However this is last ditch effort and I wouldn't count them out even if they decide to keep Kinect. Once the games start focusing on Kinect, people will opt to buy. Yes they need a price cut but that will come in time.

Alright I got bored of this conversation, it means nothing really accept opinion and predictions. I will say in the history of this site. Odds are against you and most here.

MS handed the victory bag to sony with their fuck ups, so unless PS4 has a PROD moment in the future that MS can capatilize on its pretty much settled.  One is the record setting media gamer darling the other well...  drm e3 mega pr disaster and all the other fuck ups stink is still freash.

Buddy Ms aint cutting x1 with kinetic to 399, shareholders are already are calling for xbox to be killed.  Letting it slip into the red and selling at a big loss would only strengthen their cries.  Xbox means little to MS over all, many shareholders do not view beating PS as a need that deserves resources to be wasted on.

MS is getting out sold in its home market thats a fact not opinion, MS lost massiv market share is another fact.  That should tell you plenty nuff.
