A game on which you put down the controller and do nothing during a combat, and that gets your party killed, isn't turn-based under my judgment. Lost Odyssey is turn-based. Pokémon is turn-based (at least the original games). Final Fantasy XIII isn't. |
By that logic, all Final Fantasy games using the ATB Active mode aren't turn based. So FFVI, VII, VII wouldn't be turn-based.
Signature goes here!
Lightning Returns
DanganRonpa
and that's all that is preordered. There's a like 8 other games I want though.

And, indeed, I don't consider them turn-based.
LOL I save my pennies, and I just got into PS3 a year and a half ago. The most I think I've payed for a PS3 game so far is 22.00.
For February I ordered so far HOTD Overkill (MOVE) @16.50, Red Dead Redemption (GOTY edition) @22.00, and FFXIII-2 @15.60. They all arrive tommorrow in the mail from Amazon.
I want to get Titanfall on a steam sale, but I'm a cheap ass gamer. Might be awile unless it drops in price fast, and if it looks banal by the time it price drops forget it I'll pass it up.
I will most likely order strategy guides for Dark SOuls 2, FFX/X-2, FFXIIILR in a couple days. Then when those games price drop I will buy them. :) Might still pick up Dark Souls 1 for around 17.50 and TLoU since it is 29.99 recently on Amazon.
FFXIII-2 and RDR should last me 1-2 months easy anyway I think so I can sit this out for a little longer. It's a great couple months to be a PS3 owner no doubt. I really want to get GTA5 soon but that game is still 39.99 lmao and I think Dark SOuls 2 could come to PS4 so I'm not sure if I'll get it on PS3 just yet. I still have some patience when it comes to my money and gaming.

This is false. Those games are set to "wait" by default. Where it waits for you to input your attack whenever your meter fills up.

You still die if you do nothing, hence "turns" aren't really turns since everyone can act when their meter has been filled.
