Forums - Sony Discussion - Playstation Now Leak?!

I'll pass.

I'm thinking that Sony will release maybe over 300 games from their library of PS1/PS2 & PS3 games.
Price it along the lines of Netflix ($8-$10) per month.

These games are cool and all, but I want more retro stuff.....

Oh and can we please get Zombies Ate My Neighbors on PSN........ PLEASEeeeeeeeeeee

in comparison, Netflix movie streaming service is $8.00 a month.

Also in comparison the gaming industry is nothing to the movie. And there are probably more streaming servies for movies than we can count, and this would be the first for games.

There is thousands of playstation games, just like there is thousands of movies.

You mean millions of movies? And there are far less people that play games than watch movies. The gaming industry is extremely small, the movie industry is huge everywhere and for everyone. Everyone watch movies but few people play games.

I don't see your point at all.

What in the name of god almighty, you too?

How can you even make comparisons like this.

A game costs $50 new and a movie more like $20. The movie industry is huge and the gaming industry is extremely small.

The game industry is very very large. The biggest games make way more money than the biggest films at least at the box office. COD and GTA pull in a billion dollars every game in just a few days.

So, anyone know if i can hook up the sony smartphone on any tv and hook even a controler on it?

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

why pay that much when you can get emulators especially for ps2 and ps1 and get all the games for free on top the quality won't be hampred by the quality of the internet connection and can still play them if internet goes down. for ps3 and ps4 ,, just get ps plus. ll those ps3 games will come on there eventually. my cheaper solution and plenty value for money this way.

And yet Netflix is most watched on PlayStation 3. That is logic for you.

Where are you getting your statistics?

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

I heard that you could rent a single game instead of subscribing. This is probably good for those who just want to try a game or two instead of buying games and a console. It also might encourage more people to try games. Hey, you don't have to buy a device just rent the game on PSNow.

I am personally still not sold. I have all the PS3 games I want and a PS3. Maybe I'll change my mind when we get more details.

Because the stuff after the bold is mostly illegal and ps3 games will never just "come" to an offline Playstation 4, it's not possible.

I don't get that logic, sorry.

I have no statistics to go by, have not even looked for any, but are you saying that the gaming industry is larger than the movie industry? I doubt that. I mean, every one watches movies, right? But far from everyone plays games. Look at India and China with the two larges populations in the world, almost no one plays games but everyone watches movies. And yes we do pay for movies here, and the cinema is as popular here as in any other place and renevues money.

The bolded part there I say that far more people watch movies than people play games. And since you are arguing with me you mean that more people play games than watch movies? I don't really understand because all you said is that more people use Netflix on PS3 than anywhere else, when I said that more people watch movies than play games. To me your reply doesn't make sense.

If you have any statistics that proves me wrong, that more people play games than watch movies I am interested in seeing that. Because my word is not law and I can be wrong, I do admit that. But I have a difficult time grasping the idea of the gaming to be larger than movie industry. It seems surreal to me, and then I also wonder why gaming developers are whining about making so massive losses, and why the gaming industry is bleeding so much money year after year and companies are being shut down or sold. Nothing makes sense to me if that is the truth. :S
