Forums - Sony Discussion - Playstation Now Leak?!

Keep in mind that PS Now is a streaming service. That means no disc to own and share and it won't work if your internet is out. Still, $50 a year is an amazing deal and you get to try games that you would't other play. Twitch streaming lags and stops sometimes. I hope this works better and gets people to try more niche titles.

Mobile gaming took off because of it was available on devices we already own. Low barrier to entry might get more people into gaming.

Is this a seperate pay wall from + or included?

Mostly likely separate. PS+ is already great value for money, would be pretty dumb business wise for Sony to give even more away.

There is no way I could handle 50 a month, even financially well. I will pass big time if that's the case.

I'm thinking fake. I can't imagine Sony including a price without indicating per year/month/title, and flat rate per title system wouldn't work either.

It's $50 a year. So $50 for free game on plus, and $50 to stream PS3 titles on PSV and PS4 (and other limited devices).

I think plus is better. This will work very well for those who want only a PS4 connected, want PS3 games on the go on Vita, and (just like free games on +) would rather rent/stream games for about $9 a month instead of buying retail.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

Are you sure? You could, if you chose to, never buy a single game again, and only pay $50 a month, which is more or less the price of just one game. You would have more games to play than you should have time for.

And if it's $50 a year, well, who would not get this. :O I suppose people with very bad internet connection or for reasons such as mine.

I for one will not get this, because even that my internet is fairly good, services as Steam and PSN loads very slow for me. I can download from Chinese websites with usually 0.5-3MB/second but when I try to download a game from Steam it doesn't work 99% of the times. Failed to install/download or whatever it says. PSN works to download but it takes a very long time. Compared to when I lived in Europe it's like night and day, and my internet connection now is even faster. So I suppose the servers in Asia are too far away from me.

I would however easily use this service for $50 a month, no doubt, if I knew it would work flawless or near-flawless. But I doubt in Beijing.

in comparison, Netflix movie streaming service is $8.00 a month.

Also in comparison the gaming industry is nothing to the movie. And there are probably more streaming servies for movies than we can count, and this would be the first for games.

Don't think this is a year subscription. More like 3 months.
