im sorry but this is a very dumb question, here are the sales for mainline console platformer Donkey Kong games.

Donkey Kong Country-9.30 million

Donkey Kong Country 2-5.15 million

Donkey Kong Country 3-3.51 million

Donkey Kong 64-5.27 million

Donkey Kong Country Returns-6.10 million

Even the remakes/spinoffs have sold over 1 million. There is no reason why u or anybody should think this gsme wont pass 1 million.

Japan only? No.
Worldwide? Yes. DKCR had long legs.

Wii U isn't a mainline console.

I did. But I've been convinced in another, earlier thread that install base doesn't actually matter when comparing sales. Not nearly as much as art style or other arbitrary stuff.

That's sarcasm. The logic oft employed on these forums has turned my bitter. 

Because the market has rejected it as a successor.
