The January drought is over, that's the main reason for the increase. With that said I'm still surprised at the Wii U numbers and the PS4 numbers compared to last week. I actually expected PS4 to drop considering it hasn't had any major software releases recently, and Sony needs to build up inventory for the Japanese launch. These numbers suggests PS4 production has increased to meet demand. Quite impressive.
When it comes to Wii U, I'm very surprised that Wii Fit U isn't on the software list this week. I expected that game to sell 12 000-15 000 copies in the US this week. I'm also surprised Wii Play U isn't in the top 20 in the US; I had it at 10 000-12 000 copies.

Still Wii U numbers are way off from my December predictions, where I put its weekly Q1 sales world wide at 75 000 systems.

I did, you can get a ps4 for a little over 100 more then a ps3, it's insane, both 360 and ps3 are grossly over priced for such old systems. Ps3 should be 149 max now.

Surely out PS3/360 numbers are incorrect?

Based on shipments these two consoles are selling at a similar rate...yet we have PS3 at double the 360 sales every week. I dunno what but somethings not right here.

As for PS4...wow I dont think anyone saw this coming...its actually increasing the gap between in the US with the X1. Increasing it! This is amazing if the numbers hold true after NPD.

Higher baseline for WiiU and Vita and the PS4 is huge. Good stuff.

PS4 WW marketshare for 8th gen is 57%. Marketshare for Europe is 71%. Wow.

As most said as ps4 catches up with demand the gap widens, even in the US, MS has their work cut out for them. Sony has not even shown their bigger AAA guns yet.

At this rate the PS4 will eventually be pulling away from the X1 by about 400k - 500k units a month.

Surprised by Tomb Raider Definitive Edition sales. Guess people are willing to spend $60 on slight upgrade of last gen game.

This really shows how important E3 is to consumer impressions/decisions.
