Agh, how the heck do you beat DeRosa!? Attacking him only gives him BP, which he'll then use to heal himself, making him practically impossible to kill! D:

I did it by doing no braves, it's a turn by turn fight, that way you don't give him too much bp since vengence is a % trigger. Just gotta drag it out.

Guess I'll have to try that! What difficulty were you playing on and what level was your team? I'm on hard and my crew is currently Lv.32.

Don't remember, you prolly need to level grind if you feel you are not doing so hot, you can still default and brave for specials, you just do 1 turn attacks only while keeping hp up.

I mean, I can easily survive his attacks, it's just that he can survive mine aswell! xD

yeah, you need to grind then. he can be a bitch.

Noes! I should be able to beat him as I am! Literally the only reason I haven't been able to beat him is because he heals himself! Also I tried your method, but to no avail as he would just heal all the damage he took on the following turn.

Have you tried using magic? That doesn't activate. Alternatively, use someone who has a BP stealing ability (but I don't think there's any at this point). But what I did was default three turns, go on an all out attack with all but my healer, then default the next turn and heal up after he braves (if he does).

You also have things like life theif at this point, that's useful. And give people stuff to avoid charm!

The next time through is much simpler, you can use things like Zero Sum, My Hero, Battle Drain and Squeaky Wheel to stop the BP problem, or Stillness, Enigma or others to avoid taking damage. That's my approach now anyway.

Magic attacks do trigger Revenge! Also his magic that puts Dread on everyone makes the mass default then mass brave strategy difficult, but maybe I'll get lucky if I keep trying it!
And there wont be a next time because I gotta kill him nao! I must haves Red Mage!

Well it's highly unlikely people will all get hit with Dread, so you can always just all use a Balsam if such a problem arises. But save all your specials and upgrade them as far as you can with stuff from Norende (try putting Stop on the ones you use, you never know), then default until you're at 3 (he doesn't use Dread until later AFAIK), and go on an all out offensive, going special first for each character then their strongest abilities. Hopefully one will cause Stop, so you can recover and go again. Fingers crossed!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Woot! I finally beat him! I'm not even sure what I did exactly, as I just said screw it and went in their without any real plan! I definitely got lucky though as he attacked more often than not for once, allowing me to easily rack up damage! Now I just need Ninja and Swordmaster then life will be good! ^_^

Yeah the Swordmaster/Ninja combo was Godlike in the demo. I'm getting close to getting them. I just snagged the Pirate and Performer classes.

Great Thanks!

So yeah, Agnes got so fed up with people trying to help her, that she cast Pig on herself and moved into my Animal Crossing town. Guess the world is doomed, but atleast I have a new neighbor to talk to! xP

Anywho's, my friend's list is getting rather full, so I deleted all yals that didn't add me back!
Also, I decided to just screw it and start using ablinks and summons. It's definitely nice that I can just have my team stay in my prefered classes instead of having to take time grinding for specific skills in other classes, and some people's captions on their special moves are pretty funny!

Guys, I finally got Bravely Default. Add me to your lists :)
