Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Order 30 FPS - Why are some people jumping on this?

Because things get more or less important depending on the fan boy convenience. Back in ps2 era, being the most powerful didn't matter. In the previous generation, selling the most didn't mean being the best (wii sucks, doesn't it?)

I wish we could all sit down and enjoy the games. One of two games I enjoyed the most in previous generations were wii games: monster hunter tri and mario galaxy. They didn't have the best graphics. Halo is a lot of fun, God of war series is amazing.

This goes back to my theory that owning all consoles is the best way to do it.  Video gaming isn't really that expensive of a hobby compared to some things.  All 3 systems, right now, would cost you $1200 MSRP.  I know some car buffs that spend that plus some yearly.

That, and if you wait till prices drop you can get them all for under a grand.  The longer you wait, the cheaper... right now, you can get a PS3 Xbox 360 and Wii for under $500 (NEW).

My prediction: Frame rate or resolution debate of the order 1886 will vanish after February 18th, 2014. It will be awesome. Just wait.

LOL fanboys will never quit on either side.  But I too hope the reveal (I am assuming it's 2/18) is awesome.  This + infamous are the reasons I might pick up a PS4 this year.  That and anything potentially shown at E3.

Yeah. I will be getting mine in March. I was waiting for infamous second sun.

Since it was announced the Order was 30 fps, I saw numerous people jumping on this fact, but why? It makes zero sense, is this what the console war has come down to? The reason it was brought up before was not because 30 FPS was terrible but because when the same game was on both platforms one was 30, the other 60 and yes 60 is better, it is pretty simple to understand, so why did people latch unto 30 FPS? This is an exclusive, it would probably be 720P on x1, but that is irrelevant, it is not on x1. There is no comparison to make here.  The onyl time it has really been brought up before was in multi-plats when it is on both systems.

Hey your people started this whole thing. I personaly see no issue with this and arguing about frames per second is extremely petty.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Its simply to laugh at the smug, irritating people that constantly need to remind us that the PS4 is a more powerful machine than the Xbox One and that they are for some reason better because the games they play dont really run at 30fps anymore.

Yet this game is running at 30fps.

Its simply a way for the Xbox crowd to get back at the PS crowd. Dont read too much into it, because were gonna be seeing it throughout the entire generation when X game is running at sub-60fps on PS4.

Essentially, the PS4 fanboys were doing some good old "concern trolling", and the Xbox One fanboys are now mocking the PS4 bunch.

Are they by chance the same people that constantly reminded PS3 owners about the differences for well over5 years? The only difference is the media thought it was a relevent discussion then and worthy of lowering review scores for PS3 games.

The PS5 Exists.

i don't understand it either. 30 FPS is perfectly fine IMO.

Heck I'm playing Tomb Raider which is supposedly 20-40 FPS and I haven't noticed a single jutter so I don't know if it's because I've grown up with low framerate games or if it's because it's really not as big of a deal as some people make it out to be. If I had to make a guess though, I'd go with the latter. Only when a game starts to get close to Halo CE-like framerate do I start to get annoyed.

So then no one ever gave ryse or dr3 crap for what there developers chose to go with?

Because people will bitch about anything and if you are insecure in your own gaming purchases or habits then you have to lash out at anything that looks like it might be vulnerabe to criticism.

First of all, nice stealth troll against the Xbox One there.  I'm SHOCKED you were banned.  Second, to answer your question, the same thing was done to Xbox exclusives too.

For example, Ryse was railed for being sub 1080p (which The Order is too, btw).  Another game, Forza, was railed for an [alleged] image quality reduction in order to maintain 1080p/60.  Both similar scenarios to The Order (meaning, a dev finding the balance between IQ, framrate, and resolution).

Fanboys will be fanboys, but it shouldn't come as a surise that it works both ways.  It's all childish IMO, and I think the Order looks great so far, but lets not pretend it's one sided bashing.

The x1 is weaker, almost all next gen multiplats that were not sports games were lower FPS or res on x1...that's a fact hardly ban worthy..please. so logic dictates a more demanding game like the order would have the same fate.
