Huh weird.  First article i read on the subject on their profits said "But their 1.1 billion loss projection remains unchanged".

So I was under the assumption they had been planning on it for at least a few months.

Every time theres a console battle going on, it ends with MS or nintendo fans turning to balance sheets and stock value because they get destroyed if they continue talking about games and hardware.

The creepy part is that some of them genuinely feel happy that MS or nintendo made a profit while sony didnt - and thats where the real 'fanboy' concern for this topic lies.

Not only have they failed to see this whole profit/loss thing is damage control for MS and nintendo not being able to rival the PS4, but are now trying to turn the table and say its damage control for Sony.

Nice try though, but at the end of the day, end consumers (most of us here, and in the world) will always care about the products a company makes, not their balance sheets.

It is no secret that the PS4 is the center of attention and positive perception. We can easily come to the conclusion that there are more PS4 fans then Xbox/WiiU fans. Based on that you guys are louder and gang up on others by default.

Actually I said I can and will be called out for other fans and I still feel accountable. Please actually comphrehend my posts before you jump on the bandwagon.

Didn't Sony just split off their PC & TV divisions, which is expected to cut 1 billion in annual losses? That along with the runaway success of the PS4 should turn this situation around quickly.

Amen bro. In an ideal world (nevermind anonymous internet forums), we shouldn't be doing these practices and broad strokes. I am just telling it like it is and going with the curve.

And pardon me for "romanticizing" the console war. It is just boring, mundane, and average, to view fans as individuals with the same console as opposed to a unified fanbase with shared ideals and cultures. If I call one of you out, I call your whole fanbase out, regardless of your opinion. Same goes for me.

It's the centre of attention because sony out executed MS and did a great job with the system. As for more fans, pure baseless speculation. Further more, more fands has ZERo to do with being more over zealous in defending sony or turning a blind eye to their mistakes then any other fanbase (Other fans have been just as committed to it on here). Again, no matter how you spin it you are taking shots and generalizing an entire fanbase. You are seeing things from a  very lopsided perspective, considering you are often in arguments with sont fans here.

I fully understood, it was full of inconsistencies, hypocrisy and plain foolishness.

If you seriously believe that Sony fans are on par with Nintendo/MS fans then I have nothing more to say to you. THAT, is baseless on your part.
