Forums - Sales Discussion - Xbox 360 Still ahead of PS3

lol, is that all MS could manage with an early launch, cheaper hardware, and better multiplatforms?
The saddest part is that even though its on the verge of losing that tiny lead it may have, people are still boasting about it.

3.6M PS3 vs 3.5M 360. And as usual, MS overshipped during Q3 which means their shipment numbers will be very low for the next 3 quarters. We've seen it all before.

Link for the 3.6m PS3? Again you're just assuming every single PS4 shipped was auto sold. In 30 countries.

Proof MS overshipped? Funny how you say they will be very low for the next 3 Q's, you realise last year 360 and PS3 were on par right? CYQ2 for instance PS3 shipped 1.1m, 360 shipped 1m.

Come back when you have something relevent to say.

14.3 PS3s + PS4s vs 7M 360. How many PS4s do you think were on shelves in December?

That includes remaining PS2 stock (hence the huge jump YOY).

Both were around 80m Oct/Nov (360 first), both shipped around 3.5m this holiday (360 more), There are at least 200k PS4's on shelves, we're talking 30 countries here, not only that but ones that are in transit.

Yeah, and no RROD happened which hurt a *lot* of sales in the beginning. Interesting how only good arguments come in for 360 to defend PS3...

They're the same, essentially

It's basically a draw, let's just except that and move on to Xbox One/Wii U are doomed and PS4 is going to sell 1bn units "arguments"

PS3 is at 3.6 right? PS4 was 4.2 and they both added up to 7.8.

From what we know PS4's were getting sold as soon as they arrived at retailers. I believe we just recently have started seeing people who have finally been able to see a bit more PS4s

From what we know, PS4 has been getting sold out as fast as they came so i dont think there would be hundreds of thousands of PS4s out in the wild

But who knows..

Edit: that 7.8 mill is just from december or all the way up until now?

The site numbers stil need to be addressed hence this thread. But will probably go unnoticed again.

So now we're using SONY's 4.2M as sold and not shipped?
