Forums - Sales Discussion - Ps4 outsold Wii U 3.5 times this week. Is it time to panic?

Between 3-4X for PS4 vs Wii U seems more plausible than 4-5. Sales should also fall closely to 1.5X (in favour of PS4) to almost even during the release of MK8 and for a few months following after that. Holidays however will put the sales gap back up to 3-3.5X, unless Nintendo pulls something magical out of their ass (Zelda U, Mario Galaxy 3)

The time for panicking is over. Nintendo can't do anything to change the fact that they will be a distant last. They will be hard pressed to even meet Gamecube levels, setting a new low for one of the big three's main home systems.

They are now working on their next handheld and console, and that is the best bet for them.

I'm just making an observation, because the difference between PS4 and Xbox One always impresses me, and there's no Japan in the equation yet. You don't need to get so pissed.

Your right, they could release it during the holiday season, however, I believe it may end up prior to that which is why I didn't include it (I'm thinking end of August).

What would bring you to that conclusion? They were substantially undertracked last time compared to NPD. 

Nintendo projected 2.8 million for this fiscal year not to long ago, witch is till the end of March. VGChartz already has the Wii-U at 2.8 million from March last year, with about 10 weeks of sales to go. Sure Wii-U will have smaller stock now, but even at Wii-U sales levels we are talking 400k-500k.
