Here's the difference:

I highly doubt that Asus boots up in seconds and runs like a greased jaguar.

I guess that depends on the model.

If we're talking about the Asus T100 which also retails for $299 if you look for sales...It kind of does all that.

It also comes with touch screen that can be actually used to navigate the OS. And can be made in to a tablet...

Chrome > Explorer
Google > Bing
Linux > Mac OS > Windows

android is probably the crapiest OS ever invented in the last decade or should I say the most dreadful linux distribution mass produced.... but Chromebook makes it look like the elite of the elite in comparison when it comes to supreme crapiness....

Chromebooks - Microsoft doesn't have to worry about them.

They just posted the 2 biggest profit quarters in their history.

Seems a little arrogant to trash a competitor with such a small market share.

Especially considering it's losing the battle with Sony and wanted the Xbox One to be online only, yet they tout that as a reason not to buy a chromebook?

To be fair... Windows 8.1 does boot up freakishly fast on mechanical hard drives compared to previous versions of Windows and having a laptop with x86 cpu for $300 has a much bigger value than any laptop with Linux/Chrome OS since the apps are lolz worthy

With that being said... wtf MS... What the hell do you gain for bullying google? Are you still really that butthurt at Google for not putting an official youtube app on windows phone? Actually, that is something to be butthurt about... Google is practically bullying MS on WP and MS is bullying Google with Notebooks... How wonderful... Companies just can't get along now can they?
