Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Insider Thuway: The Power Gap Between X1/PS4" will increase with The Order:1886

It is the most sharp game launched for any console... no upscale plus 4xMSAA make it amazing without any blurry even at long distances.... no jaggies too.

PS. Wait NSanity is back?

No upscale but it isn't native 1080p and RAD admitted if it was native 1080p they would have to use a lesser form of AA, most likely FXAA. I have no doubt the game looks good but I don't expect it to look much better than Ryse, which had extremely clean IQ.

Hope it looks good. I am a little disappointed to read in places that it's just a Sony version of Gears though.

Graphically so far it's been kind of meh. The textures in the environments have been nothing at all impressive, but the special effects have been amazing.

I agree with you. Seriously. The game will probably be great in itself because RAD never did a bad game (gameplay, fun, good metacritic) and that's what is the most important eventually.

But graphically the blurry screenshots released so far have been disappointing, I mean it looks OK but I am afraid some people will still find Ryse more next gen that the Order 1886 and IMO they will be right I am afraid . Too blurry, too cartoonish (like KZSF) and not enough sharp with ultra high resolution textures which is for me the best (easier to see) next gen "wow" effect.

But I still hope to be wrong about it.

You need to check your eyes guys, it's an emergency ! This is by far the most next gen game we saw ! But of course, if you take the worst quality screenshot...

But if you take the best screenshot :

it's just beyond everything we saw before, and thinking these screenshots are from old build ( october ) , stunning !

The fourth pic is CG not ingame. Again  usually high res pics look better then the game themselves. i guess feb18th can't come sooner enough lol

The gap is hardware based, it's not flexible... Only our perception and understanding of it will change.

Truth but some people cannot handle the truth.

If graphics were the biggest concern there would be more PC gamers and games like CoD wouldn't dominate.

People seem too excited given we've seen so little about this new IP.

I think that's why people are so excited. We've seen a few bits of hype, just about enough to keep people wanting more.

Good marketing at this stage.

That... doesn't make a lot of sense. I think this is just a reflection of how hungry web dwellers are for some exclusives.

I personally don't get interested in new IPs until we really get an idea of how it plays. I think that makes sense.

Umm it is not hard to understand why new Ip's in a new generation are exciting for many................

RAD said that 4xMSAA in 1920x800p was more demanding than 1080p with noAA... so I'm sure they can for example have 1080p with 2xMSAA.

Yeah... I expect it to look way better Killzone SF... so Ryse won't be close.

Proof? Keep downplaying.

There is nothing to feel, PS4 has just the far better GPU which is much faster than the X1 counterpart.

The PS3 was more powerful but much harder to program, so some games looked better on 360 (Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption) but most looked better on PS3 (Final Fantasy). But the X1 and PS4 both have an AMD integrated APU and are very comparable in programing difficulty so the PS4 can easily benefit from the better GPU part of the APU.

I think if they wer tallied up, more multiplat games were better on 360 than ps3. Sure, a few more recent ones the ps3 version edges out the 360, but there were so many on the 360 for so long, that I don't believe for a second that more ps3 multiplat games were better than their 360 counterparts. Even final fantasy, which was in development for the ps3 for years, before they slapped it on the 360, wasn't in a different league. In my opinion, having been a ps360 gamer, that the two were nearly identical in terms of performance, and yes, I played the last of us. It may be the nicest looking game, but only just so, I think there's a lot of games that match that one, and are larger too. The areas were bite sized, and that makes a huge difference. But, I do agree, the ps4, now, is just more powerful. No question. But even they are still in the same class.

Maybe I haven looked hard enough, but what kind if game is the order? Looks phenomenal, but what's the back story for it? I'm assuming third person shooter, but what is the premise? And sorry if the info is right before my eyes, I just have been under a rock for a bit. Thanks you in advance to anyone who answers my question. I don't know anything about it, yet, I want it bad.

I have already seen those very compressed high resolution pics.

I stand by what I said. It's not a realistic game like Ryse with ultra sharp textures & assets but is more "cinematic" "foggy" "blurry".

Artistically It reminds me some comics exactly like Killzone. You can't mistake Killzone for a picture someone would have taken in the future. Here it's the same, you can't mistake those images as a real picture.

You could definitely mistake some Ryse screenshots with a real picture.

Gameplay? Not really

The textures are nothing to write home about...

I would like to know the woman who gave birth to those guys. They all kinda look identical.

if you have played the game then you would know the game play is like the batman games. heck just looks like  a nicer looking gears of war with gears of war mechanic lol
