Forums - Nintendo Discussion - '90s Arcade Racer Wii U update

Sorry curl, but this game's publisher is Nicalis. Chances of this making it over have reduced to 10%.

We'd like to support Europe and I don't like leaving EU players behind. NOE in particular doesn't make the process easy or seamless and because of that the priority level on EU releases is much lower than NA or even JP. I'm not the only Nintendo-supporting developer who feels this way, either.

This game looks so awesome! Just like the good ol' days of the Saturn and Dreamcast. I would be very upset if we don't get it here in Europe. :(

That's bad news about Europe. I really hope NOE and Nicalis can work something out. WiiU owners in Europe deserve the game as much as everyone else.

Does anyone know about the multiplayer options? Online? Offline? How many locally?

He does talk about the multiplayer, local for now (split via TV/gamepad), online might be updated later.

Local multiplayer

We're planning on it, but each platform is different as far as what it can do. At least 2P local on Wii U is ideal given that one player can use the pad and another can use the tv.

Online multiplayer

We don't know yet. I'd rather release an amazing local multiplayer experience THEN follow it up post-release with a free update.

I know it's not ideal to players, but, to me, I'd rather have more people playing first then doing it then having everyone wait for an online component.

Makes me want to fire up Sega's Outrun on the ol' 360.

360....  Blah..  At least fire it up on something old school. I'm surprised you don't have the arcade cabinet that moved with the car.

I'm 95% sure I'll buy this

Im interested in it. 90s arcades are the best!!!

Agreed! What would be even better is if they managed to have a good 90's soundtrack to go with the game. ( i.e Nirvana - Territorial Pissings, AIC - Them Bones, Pearl Jam - Spin The Black Circle, Blind Melon - Galaxie, etc)

" Rebellion Against Tyrants Is Obedience To God"

The game looks sweet, but I'm not to hot on that name. Still not sure if I'll live to see the day the game makes it over to Europe.

Strong idea, but where is Minestry - Jesus Built My Hotrod?!? That would be a shoein for a game like this.

Soon I discovered, that this rock thing was true. Jerry Lee Lewis was the devil. Jesus was an architect previous to his career as a prophet. All of a sudden, I found myself in love with the world so there was only one thing that I could do:  was ding a ling ding dang, my dang a ling long

IF this controls/plays well I'd consider getting it. That is key for me. Concepts aren't enough.
