Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sooo... Why is dark souls 2 rated T?

I'm not understanding this at all. Dark souls is rated M for violence, partial nudity, and blood and gore. Dark souls 2 is rated T for violence, partial nudity, blood and gore, and mild language. So the game actually has more mature content. The rating synopsis of the two games basically reads exactly the same. I just find it really funny.

rating team done goofed

The degree of violence, blood+gore, nudity, and language was deemed more mild than Dark Souls. There's degrees to it.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

A rated T game, haven't seen those in a while.

For the same reason why Ace Attorney 5 got a M rating. The ESRB knows what it's doing.

Only reason Dark Souls got a M rating is because of the Quelaag fight. So don't expect any "nudity" in Dark Souls 2.

I don't give two poops, Dark Souls 2 is going to be AMAZING.

In the ESRB rating it is stated that the "Partial" nudity in Dark Souls II is from a "Partially topless women with hair covering the front of her breasts."  So that is the Quelaag!

Also it says "There is a large creature made of hundreds of corpses and torture devices streaked with blood."  Yeah I think "Hundreds of corpses" is when I give a game an M lol!

Are there nudity in the game? Or heavy blood? T is fine for it.

I will take it as a good sign, eventually, GTA will be rated T and AO games will be rated M so I can buy my sex sims without going to an adult store
