I'm just wondering were the next assassin's creed game could take place. I mean,it's already taken place in just about every major location. My only idea is probably early japan. That would be a cool  place for a game. thoughts?

My guess is Egypt or Japan. My gut says it is a 90% chance of where the next game will be set in.

There is a lot of places that have yet to be covered in the series. There is plenty of interesting history to exploit in the Central America, South America, and Africa. But yeah Japan would be quite interesting, the series has been mostly eurocentric, but you could always hope for something a little more different.

I think I'm through with the series, but if they set one in India or Three Kingdoms era China, I just might have to cave.

Or if they set it during Genesis and have you actually play as Cain.

I don't think they will be going to Japan any time soon. Because that is what I want and no video game company ever does anything I want. Maybe China just to mess with me.

I think the French revolution is a good bet for the next one. Going through the audio logs in ACIV there is also some major stuff happening in Nazi Germany but I'm skeptical that will happen soon.

Mayan / Aztec civilisation
Feudal Japan
Ancient China
Ancient Egypt
Victorian London
French Revolution
Roman Empire
Ancient Greece
Ancient India

Edit: or an open world (AC4 style) with medieval Europe. France, England, Spain, Netherlands... the variety, architecture, atmosphere, etc. would be fucking amazing.

You mean besides Mordor?

Feudal Japan is the setting I've wanted to see for a while, so I'd be very happy with that.

What about Egypt? A picture was leaked from Ubisoft a while ago, It looked like a next gen Prince of Persia game because it was set in Egypt. Turns out a picture of the same setting was used in ACIV. They even talked about assassins from ancient Egypt in that picture.

That's, like, the first assassin ever!

Never really thought about that. But now a whole scenario came to my mind - you play as Cain in the early stages of the world: Adam, Eve, altars, al that stuff. You LIVE the bible.
Of course, I don't think of it as a full game, but rather an episode/early memory.

Now, If Cain is the assassin, then is Abel the first templar? :)
