Will Pokemon XY Be The Highest Selling Title on 1 Platform This Entire Generation?

 

Remember on just 1 HH/Console. We all know a GTA title can do 20mil+ :P

What I'm more interested for is how it will compare to the other Pokemon games. Will it end up doing better than Pokemon Pearl/Diamond?

Seems like a retorical question. I'd be surprised if it isn't.
The only one that can compete is 2D Mario. Not gonna happen. After that we have Halo and Gran Turismo. Can reach 10 million, but that's it.

isnt't it tracking ahead of all the other Pokemon games? (except gen 1) If that's the case then yes it will. I'm pretty sure it will even beat GTA5 PS3 or Xbox360 (not both obviously)

Its hard to tell. One thing is pokemon Diamond/Pearl was on DS. Every game had a better chance to sell on it than on 3DS. That said XY will hit imo one of 2 sales. Scenario 1= 15mil-17mil : If a successor (XY2/Z) or Remakes (in short a new main game) is announced and released in 2014 Scenario 2= 16mil-19mil : If Scenario 1 happens in 2015. Diamond/Pearl benefited imo from having Platinum release almost 2 years later!

Would Grand Theft Auto not count in this comparison?

I mean, I know it's released on multiple platforms, but I'm just talking about 1 platform. PS4 or XB1. Pick one. GTA5 is well on its way on PS3 at the moment, so it doesn't seem out of the question that GTA6 (or more likely 7 at the end of a generation) could do similar.

Most likely... Pokemon hasn't felt this new in a long, long time so unless the next one does something magical and impresses us all, I think it will be the largest selling pokemon game for the 3ds
