Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo Made The Biggest Leap of The Big Three With Wii U

Graphically it's a bigger leap over Wii than PS4/Xbone are over PS3/360, yes.

Sounds like a Significant_leap to me.

That's a long ass video to say "the jump from standard def to high def is more visual significant than high def to higher def."

Indie games, Live event player, cross game chat, demos for every indie/arcade game, built in memory, requesting friends to play a game, playing movies/music from an HDD or PC, sharing games with multiple consoles, Smart Glass, analog triggers, achievements, download speeds, 3rd pary support, voice commands--pretty much every area except graphics (though Wii U is more powerful, there are Xbox 360 games that still look better than Wii U's best imo) and touch screen/off TV Play.

The biggest leap... from a  cliff:P?

"Yes, its a biggest leap, but i will play the 360 version of the game that came out to wiiu too  anyway"

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

clickbait? no shit

Current Platforms: HighendPC[rip]/PS4/PS3[rip]/Vita[rip]

That's offset by the fact that they took the smallest leap with the original Wii. >_>

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

You forgot the most important one: GAMES. The fact that the 360 was a popular console that got all important 3rd party games.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

go on name the areas then....

Third party has nothing to do with the hardware itself

Achivements is backwards  its not GOOD by any means and is actually useless.

Voice commands? 360 does NOT even have a micro  kinect has its a different piece of hardare.  Does my WiiU have voice commands just because my Samsung smart TV has it? NOPE

WiiU has indies.   Devs decide wheter to have demos on WiiU  NOT Nintendo.

Smart Glass is also NO XBOX functionality since you need seperate hardware.

I have perfect download speed with my WiiU.

Xbox has 4gb of build in memory (slim no HDD model)  WiiU has either 8 or 32   a HARDDRIVE is not build in memory. And its also NO advantage at all since you pay more for the MS HDD than an actual1TB harddrive costs.

Sharing between multiple consoles is nice for consumers but not for the console manufacturer so its also debatable. WiiU also has no online fee but you somehow ignored that (I guess because that ALSO is bad for the company and good for consumers right?  Devs/Pubs want to make games without player hosted servers so they have a reason to demand money and so they can shutdown the servers when they want you to buy the next installment)

I do not see the point of this comment.  If you watched the video, he already said that the Wii made an extremely small step.  I feel like you do whatever you can to put the Wii U down, because even though his argument doesn't really mean much in the end, you're pretending like it actually matters what they did 2 generations ago.
