Xbox360 is pretty much on the death verge. And it looks like the ONE at that price stands no chance against competition.
I think Msoft has to emphatise the higher value of the ONE over the PS4 (if it has it which i dont know).
Same with Nintendo and the Pad.

I don't get it, if a console isn't first then why do people think it is a failure. The one is doing ok, it just needs a no kinect bundle in europe.

They are droping at more or less the same rate as PS4.

We can all assume PS4 sales would be much better but for the shortages, however in fact, we can´t.

Microsoft vastly overestimated demand in the US and that's why they only launched in 13 countries. A terrible mistake because the XBO is selling terribly in Europe. They need to get into other countries fast.

It is doing fine and roughly in line with expectations. Great in NA, average in EU, likely abysmal in JP when it launches there. Microsoft could be perfectly content to be a profitable second place for this generation as it was for almost all of last.

Not even close to panic time. We are only a couple months in to this gen. Nonthing wrong with testing to see how the console would do at $500 but it wont compete at the price. Drop the price to $399 which will probaly happen at E3.

They have the best software lineup for 2014 and the deepest pocket to destroy Sony and Nintendo if they feel like to. And the sold 3.9 million consoles with a $500 price tag.

the sales numbers are fine. not amazeballz or anything but pretty typical for a new console. remember, being less successful than a competitor doesn't preclude you from being successful.

besides, if worse came to worse MS could just close the entire division if they wanted to and not even see a dip in their financials.

Only problem is price. Still amazing they sold so much despite the price and the bad media attention it got.
But in the long term they have to offer a competitive price, especially because Kinect currently has close to no advantage.

Panic? Not so much.....

It´s kind of struggling in Europe, but MS will be fine. They just need to drop the price a bit. I do believe that price is the only thing that is making people choose PS4 instead of XboxOne in many places
