Forums - General Discussion - Game of Thrones Season 4 Thread - Premier 6th of April in U.S.

The only scene I had issue with was Oberyn's introduction. The changes lessened certain aspects of Dornish culture, but I guess had to meet the boob quota so needed him in a brothel. I hope the show relays how distinct Dorne is from the other six kingdoms.

My only beef with that scene is that it was interrupted just as the guy was about to get undressed but that's probably just me

No reactions for last night? Really? Wow, would have thought such an event would generate some discussion.

Haven't seen it yet. Can't wait though. Was it well done?

For the most part I think so. I watched it with someone who had never read the books and they were surprised and could not figure out who did the deed.

I will say the tone of the show is still less subtle and more blunt than the books, with characters just stating intnetions. By this point I have come to understand.  So many non readers talk about how confusing it can be, adding greater complications would likely lose them viewers.

When people do get around to watching be curious as to thoughts on

1. Wedding

2. Bran

3. The Thenns

4. Boltons / Reek

I should watch it Tuesday night and I'll give you my impressions.

One note, yet again a re-cast as Tommen has a new actor. I know it is asking a lot, but I like it when same actor keeps playing a character, like seeing Slynt at the wall portrayed by the same actor makes me happy.

Loved it. Wife was all giddy when she realized this was the next wedding episode.

At this point I'm fairly certain that whenever I see a wedding coming up, I'm going to expect a lot out of it.

Can't wait for Khaleesi next week.

If I had one complaint it is the depiction of Tyrion and Shae. Besides Loras this has been the big change that bothers me and changes so much of characters and how events will play out. I have a sense of how the show is going to do something to adjust for this major change, and if I am right I will be annoyed.

came in here because i thought there would be a lot of reactions from last night. Ill bump this for you :)
