How has this thread not been bumped after the first episode of Season 4 aired?

Like most epsiode ones since season two a denouement of major events of season three and building plot threads of season four.

Oberyn makes his debut with more screen time as was never POV, Jaime finds how he and things have changed (oddly they changed bits of his relationship with Cersei), the royal wedding not to be missed is coming, the battle for the wall being prepared, Meereen will be shown soon and Arya's transformation continues.

Odd detail was acting as if Grey Worm would have any interest in a woman. The Unsullied of the books are asexual due to their early castration.

Overall I love it as much as ever.  This season will be fascinating because you will get several events as opposed to one major event.  Very excited about this season and last night certainly got me salivating for more.

Dear god, that scene at the end in the Crossroads Inn was disturbing. It was kind of awesome in the books to read about Arya killing Polliver(/The Tickler) like that, but to actually see it, and all of the blood that goes with it :/

Shame there was no Bran, but all in all, a solid episode (with a brilliant introduction to Prince Oberyn) and a great start to what will definitely be the best season yet.

He's got the build for the part. I know this is a picture taken between scenes but I do hope he looks less sympathetic when in character because Gregor Clegane is one sick bastard.

If ever a man deserved to die screaming it was Gregor Clegane.

Do NOT miss next week. That is all I am going to say to avoid spoilers.

Oh. So next week is indeed the one. I come to ask of that. Good, good.

I did want to ask something of none book fans. Did you understand what blade Tywin was having reforged and the importance of it? I often take things for granted so was curious.

It wasn't so bad. In the book, she repeatedly stabs the Tickler, the show version was tamer.
