It's still a big difference between the two models.

Models of distribution?

In which case, yes.  Still a massive difference; but digital is making up some incredible ground each year.

It is pretty interesting how the Japanese only seem to buy Digital copies of games when they are forced, in a way, by stock shortages. That one guy in this thread who mentioned that the Japanese still support physical Album sales a lot is correct. This definitely seems to be the case with video games as well.

Updated OP with February figures.

a good start to reach that would be: digital version always with lower price. when we consider the costs for $60 retail games, it's not fair that digital are the same price.

Didn't realize this was still being updated.

But you know I love Japanese sales figures!

Updated OP with the top 10 from March.  Hopefully we'll get top 30 next week.

Delta did pretty well considering PS+/upgrade program. I'm assuming those numbers aren't counting upgrades.

Pretty good month for digital sales. But pretty good month for sales across the board, really.

Yeah, not bad at all. Good work Krezzy!

Very good for digital actually. Yokai Watch never ceases to amaze either.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Looks like the PSV does quite well in digital sales relative to many titles. The top games for it are hovering around the 10% mark and Soul Sacrifice Delta is even higher. The 3DS seems to average a much lower percentage other than Pokemon Battle Lab. Home console games look to be all over the place. Seems like genre has a lot to do with it.
