You have a very good eye for aging Wrestlers... or Perhaps just The Ass Man Billy Gunn haha :D

If you haven't seen WWE in ages you would have missed that their now trying to launch a WWE network, basically a video streaming service like Netflix but where all of the content will be from the WWE universe, so just old wrestling, PPV events and Movies like "The Marine, See no evil" so what they've been doing is basically flooding in anyone who can lace up a pair of Wrestling boots and seeing if the crowd wants to watch them. Raw has been extended to 3 hours per episode and they have more "reality tv" type things like NXT where they stick a load of up and coming Wrestlers in a house and see if any of them can go 5 mins without botching.

In reality tho all they've ended up doing is massively over diluting the talent they do have into a massive vat of mediocrity.... Did I mention Kevin Nash was an entrant to the Royal Rumble? http://youtu.be/RPqYrdnq-xE?t=6m29s from Punk the last time Nash came back, almost died laughing at this put down.

Haha, lucky guess!

I actually heard about the WWEflix thing and, honestly, it sounded a bit tempting just to be able to watch old PPVs on demand. On the other hand, I remember them going so far as to bleep or blur out any mention of the WWF in the past, which made things pretty annoying to watch. If they still bowdlerize stuff like that, I'd not be too interested. On the other other hand, Vince does basically own the archives of every American wrestling promotion that ever was and I know they used to show that stuff online, so I might give it a whirl anyway.

I'm only vaguely aware of NXT, but it's basically a wrestling version of American Idol, right? Doesn't really sound much more offensive than the business exposing antics of Tough Enough way back when. But the problem with the whole thing, as with FCW and (more or less, although it wasn't WWE-owned) OVW, is that the WWE can't be its own farm league. It has always thrived off of seeing other promoters mishandle their talent and then stealing them away with the big bucks. Now that it can't do that anymore, they are boned until Vince croaks because he is always going to... well, be this guy:

Jesus why couldn't I stop watching... if I get that song stuck in my head I'll be taking legal action on you..... .... stand back.... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

But the thing about Vince is... he is a god lol, considering his father never wanted the promoters to ever get envolved with the talent Vince made the WWE what it is... Entertainment, and also in his wrestling prime Vince would have put most of the current roster to shame http://youtu.be/jDN0mWzQ0Ks?t=1m52s < (should point out this is from an era of Wrestling where it was less PG and is Vince Vs his Daughter, remember it's all scripted and he loves his family more than his own life so it's just acting but still it is a tad disturbing, my point was just regarding his build but I went on to watch that match... it's a bit grim)

Even in his real life some of the stuff about his Growing up just reads like he is a tough bastard "McMahon claimed one of his stepfathers, Leo Lupton, used to beat his mother and attacked him when he tried to protect her.[6] He said, "It is unfortunate that he died before I could kill him. I would have enjoyed that." " That is some powerful quote right there, really an insight to how his mind ticks.

Regarding NxT and all those shows like tough enough they're all the same, they all promise someone who "wins" the show will get a push to be a superstar but normally the rest of the failures get stuck together as some form of stable who comes and beats up other members of the roster demanding some camera time, it's been done so many times now tho it's just overly predictable and boring. No competition has really hurt the WWE in my opinion.

I appreciate why he is the way he is, and to some extent, yeah, he is kind of a bad ass. Still, he had some distinct advantages like being the son of the guy who owned the most lucrative territory in the country. No one could ever compete with him or his dad in a straight up bidding war, and the territory that included NYC was the only one that could have ever turned into a national/global company. He's also very lucky that the only competitor he's ever faced who could outbid him was impossibly and hilariously mismanaged. If WCW had been run by the likes of a Jim Cornette or Paul Heyman - two visionary geniuses who only ever had shoestring budgets - instead of Eric "It's Ted Turner's Money" Bischoff, it would still be around today. Vince's ambition and sheer luck are what have seen him through, not his creative genius. Gobbledy Gooker... need I say more?

I think the problem with all those reality shows is that making superstardom and success the prize of winning a game that lasts a few months doesn't really prepare a person to survive the daily grind for years and years. And nowhere is the grind worse than in the WWE, with its ridiculous TV and house show schedule and being on the road 350 days a year.

Oh, wait, what? Is this true, or scripted? I got a bleacher report saying he was pulled from all up I ing events like 3 minutes ago. I don't believe this.

@bold, I lol'd, He was a joke, he shouldn't have been put in charge of anything more taxing than managing the stream of piss down his own legs...

Did you see when Vince bought the wcw he changed story about with some characters and Made Eugene (the wrestler with the mental disability character) into Bischoffs nephew, just to emphasis what he thought they were capable of.

Scripted it would have been talked about non stop at the monday night Raw but neither Punk nor Big show were shown or mentioned. Punk didn't turn up for work basically and Show got wind that the script might end up with him having to sell the "injurys" from Lesner at the PPV so he just went home.

It could still be a major angle in the works. This is the WWE, so it's hard to gauge things like this, but I see where you're coming from.

If he's quitting because they gave his spot to Bryan, that's sad, if he quitting because of part time workers taking full time workers time, that's understandable.

Could be a work, why would he leave this early? Dat Wrestlemania Paycheck.

Anyways, could be because of what creative told him that he was gonna have to job to Triple H at WMXXX.

Best for business.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

If he did leave because Bryan took his spot, shame on him. They're both great performers and Bryan is really getting over right now with not only the core fans, but the casual "it's real" fans also.

If he left because Batista won the Royal Rumble and he feels under utilized and pushed aside.... Good on him. I still think Ziggler or Rhodes should have won the rumble......

CM Punk did what? No...my heart.....why?
