I do believe they have concepts and are developing various titles as MS have said before. Cboat screwed up by saying that specific game was the one he saw but was not even in development.

Just like he said the x1 has reliability issues like the 360...

Strange thing is that the thread is not getting any new posts as of right now. Ths is not normal neogaf. There should be a LOT of posting going on. Also im getting multiple "bad gateway" error messages.

It's not overloaded, there has been a lot more users on the forum before, right? Ca 11.000 as i write this.
I have noticed this before when there was xone negativity going on around launch.

Are there any neogaffers here who cant post in the thread?
Call me paranoid and post a complimentary Tsoukalos.jpg but I seriously suspect something going on here.
Are they trying to keep the thread from appearing on the front page?


I dunno. Also get lots of errors while browsing the site, but its not getting any significant visitors.

One thing we learned from this: CBOAT gets his leaks from others as well, who knows how many people like Ekim gave stuff to CBOAT.

So MisterX, who's 'insider' expresses himself exactly the same as MisterX and makes exactly the same grammatical errors, is accusing someone of pretending to be two people? LOLOLOL!!!

Just to clarify this; one of our users noticed that CBOAT's image had metadata which he used to find the original source of the image. The original source of the image was another NeoGAF user's dropbox. This does not "prove" who CBOAT is, what it demonstrates is who sent the image to CBOAT--or who sent the image to someone who sent it to someone etc who sent it to CBOAT. Why on earth would someone PM himself an image he already had? This is not rocket science. In addition, the CBOAT account well predates my own time on GAF and also predates the identified user's account by a period of 7 years. It doesn't even add up on a basic level.

In addition, the blog claims that the user in question is a moderator. You are able to verify that information yourself. Check the forum staff page. Check the colour of the user's username. The user in question is not a moderator. Edit: Since I was asked followup here; The user in question was never a moderator, and I have no idea why people are claiming this. It's very easy to verify. Were they ever announced to be a moderator? Have they ever moderated a thread? Are these any cached versions of the forum staff page with them listed as a moderator? Has anyone who actually posts on GAF seen this user as a moderator? Like, think for a second.

We removed this post and posts quoting it because attempting to uncover users personal information is against the rules (as it is on reddit, so I have no idea why the Xbox One moderators on reddit are allowing it so far). We remove any post that tries to uncover any user's personal information except in rare cases to attempt to identify a user in the case of a suicide attempt or similar situation, and even then we remove the information afterwards in general. This is true regardless of which users are impacted and has nothing to do with CBOAT in the slightest.

I find it very hard to believe noone is watching that thread. It should be the most active thread going on. I was expecting a 50+ thread within the hour. I'm not proud to say I religiously read neogaf for several hours every day, but at this point, I have a pretty good feeling of what makes those guys tick. (Please, someone post the "I'm an expert on japanese culture" gaf-meme).

Watch the time-stamps on other active (less interesting, for gaffers anyway) threads, they get several posts within minutes while the tomb Raider thread gets one every five minutes or so. I find it hard to see this is just coincidence.
