Pretty sure that was the Gears announcement.

Yes but the difference will not be as big as the previous generation. 55%/45% maybe...

And the next Titanfall is likely to be multi-platform.

Gears was the announcement.

And no this doesnt mean MSFT wins america.  PS4 has a pretty hefty advantage in pricing and im sure sony will have good first party games coming along with great third party support which is more popular than first party games anyways.

Maybe, maybe not. Price is still a factor and there's also no guarantee that the fanbase who purchased the Gears and Halo titles didn't own just a 360. I have friends who only own a 360 who like Uncharted and Infamous.

The other thing is that while Halo might release 2014, Gears releases no earlier than winter 2015, mostly like 2016 though.  Less fans will purchase a console for a game in development than when the game is actually released.  A lot could happen between now and then.

Sony's biggest studios games are not even revealed yet. Sony doesn't need to rush with ps4 selling gang busters.  They are being smart and will spread out the love.

Because Gears of War? No. Though having big exclusives does help.

MS may win NA but it wont be due to one game. And they may not even win NA.

^ Couldn't have said it better myself.

Some impressions on the games that you mention:

Titanfall: Available on PC, but more importantly available on X360. Will shift XBO but not a massive amount due to that.
Fable: I feel fable is dead at the moment, they need to either mature it up a bit or do something different (in fact rumour has it that Lionhead are working on something new).
Gears: From many on the internet, I get the impression that many Xbox owners don't much care for gears that much. Though of course the users on the ground might have a different idea.
Halo, well Halo will do very well I am sure.

So I think out of that lot TitanFall and Halo are the big titles the rest are on decline... and will not shift that much hardware.

So MS may win MS, but not with GOW... and I don't think the gap will be anywhere near what it is on PS3/X360.

Aslong as MS takes NA, it doesn´t matter what happen in Europe. Japan is a non-factor going into this generation. It will be in the emerging markets where the true fight hopefully is.

Gears was always an exclusive. Them owning the IP makes no difference lol
