Tough question.  I don't remember fighting a boss in the Atari games I owned so it would probably be an NES game.

I'm going with this guy.  I'm not counting the sub-bosses because they were usually just elites that came in waves.

I started in gen 3.

The poll shows that people that started gaming in gens 3, 4 and 5 are that hardcore that they post on gaming sites.

Gens 3, 4 and 5 are the Hardcore Gens when gaming was hard.

I had that Triple Pack too. ~_~ The guy you're talking about is Cheetah. I had to get between two couches, lift myself off the floor and stomp like mad to beat him.
