Nice to see Royals win Song of the year, and yeah, Artpop wasn't as good as The Fame or even Born This Way. Applause and Artpop are pretty good tracks though.

Last I heard of Tyler was when my friend saw him perform in Sturgis, SD and fell through the stage. I'm still looking forward for their next album, though.

R&B, with a few exceptions has turned more into pop/dance than anything else to be honest. There are a few exceptions of course...

Yeah, unfortunately, it's the Bieber/Lady Gaga effect. I guess that's contemporary music for this generation. It's a shame, really.

I don't know, maybe I'm getting old but I truly don't understand this Bieber...

Never cared for these award shows but it was great to see Lauper for a moment, and awesome to see Carole King perform, and to see Paul win even though I'd love to have seen John Lennon on stage also.

It sucks that the soundtrack for Django Unchained didn't get nominated for anything not only does it have three original songs on it that should have been nominated at last years Oscars its also one of the best movie soundtracks in years.

Grammy's are a joke.
they never pick artists that will have a long term effect they always pick the artists that are either a one hit wonder or apart of a trend.

This. Kedrick crafted one of the best rap albums and was nominated for 7 awards and won none. Thats ridiculous. People say hiphop is dead, but its not great albums come out every year and alot dont get attention at least his album got nominated.

Totally agree with everything you said.  I also forgot I'm also glad that Tayolr Swift didn't win anything.  As much as I hate Usher for giving us the Bieber I had Simon Cowell even worse for giving us One Direction.  Anyway with the Biebers recent antics I'm pretty sure he will be irrelevant soon and hoping the same will apply to One Direction.
