Forums - PC Discussion - Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Open beta

Anyone else here playing it, and enjoying it like I am? If so, add my battletag Toefactor#1730.

Also, what classes/decks are you playing, and which ones are you enjoying the most? Right now I am mainly using control druid which I find the most fun, but I only win about 50% of my games as druid, so I often switch to my faceroll hunter deck which wins a lot more consistently, but at the cost of not being very fun at all :(

Lol didn't know that was already open beta. I'm not following Hearthstone news anymore , but this caugh me again. Nice to hear it is open beta, going to try it right now. Hope it isn't another fail from Bli$$ard, after diablo 3, I lost almost all my hope on their games , except WoW.

Most antecipated games: Mario Kart 8 and Warlords of Draenor.

It's addictive and frustrating at the same time. There's quite a bit of RNG (luck) involved, so even the best players will only win 70% of the time. That's what you get with any CCG, though.

My advice if you're just startin out is to spend a bit of cash on packs of cards to speed up your deck building process if you have some disposable income to burn. You can definitely get ranked really high without spending a dime, but then you're going to be spending a ton of time. Anything you buy during the beta carries over to official release, so you won't lose anything.

If you want to win right away go with Hunter or Warrior as your class, as you can make relatively cheap and effective decks as those classes. Druids are good, and fun, but costly as they require a lot of epics and legendaries. A Murloc based Warlock deck is also really fun and effective, and basically as easy to make as a hunter or warrior deck.

Edit: If you play arena mode (you draft a deck and try to win as many games as you can with it before losing 3) always go with mage if it's an option. They're really really strong in arena atm.

Well I've blown 400 on it already so I'm pretty much playing everything and anything I want. Though, my personal favorite deck at the moment is Warlock giants control with Jaraxxus and Alex as heartbreakers.

Man... got excited for that, guess I'm going to give a try...

Aye, i've got that same deck, but I haven't even touched it yet. Too busy trying to perfect druid control, and I've also been doing a lot of arena just to get a general feel for all classes.

You spent a lot more than me, and I thought I spent a lot! I only spent about $200! It didn't really feel like spending my own money, though. It was just sitting in my paypal account from winning a fantasy football league this season.

I quite enjoy it.

My favorite deck is a Spell/Beatstick deck that combo's Adventuring Warrior, The Goblin Auctinoeer Guy and Violet Teacher with Moonfires and late game Wild Growths.

I have bought one arena, and that's it for cost so far....

and even then i only bought it cause i figured they deserved it.

For me, the grind and earning new cards is 80% of the fun of a card game.  I usually lose interest as i reach 100% completion.

Oh and right now I'm trying to figure out which Legendary to craft.

I have Baron Geddon.

Ragnaros or whatever seems like the most used.

Lord Jaraxxus is just a lot of fun i can tell from arena runs.

While the Dream Dragon holds a lot of allure for all the card draw.

I got a golden Archmage Antonidas on my first or second pack opening. So I usually play a Mage deck centered around him.

I'm sure Blizzard will be releasing enough new cards that 100% complettion won't be a problem for most people lol.
