Why would any company let budgets balloon to that expense?

Exactly. That game will make Bethesda and Zenimax bleed... I just hope we won't get an half assed and rushed TES VI to quickly offset the losses...

Do MMO's actually make that money back, normally? 

My only insight into MMO's is the Final Fanatasy RPG/MMO, which I'm pretty sure was a flop.

So no flops next year, then?  :P

OT: Voted for Bayonetta.  I also think Donkey Kong will struggle to sell well.  Smash; Mario Kart & Hyrule Warriors should do 'alright'.

Any western-focused Vita first party games will sell poorly.

I think Driveclub; Fable Legends & Sunset Overdrive will sell poorly.

I suspect last gen only games like Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z will probably struggle too.

From the list, I'd go with Bayonetta 2.

However, the only problem with discussions like this is, if it's done purely from sales, it's not necessarily which will be the biggest flop, as the games don't all have the same anticipated/projected sales.

I wouldn't expect a Wii U exclusive like Bayonetta 2 to sell anywhere near what Titanfall etc do. So even if it sold less, it could still be viewed that one of the other games was a bigger flop.

What do you consider a flop? Cause I think no chance in hell.

ff14 has been a huge success (Despite terrible launch), seems a lot of misconceptions on here with mmos.

 Bayonetta 2. I know the game  is going to be awesome, but it's a Platinum game and it will sadly bomb.
