Forums - Sports Discussion - Just a Tribute to my ALL TIME Greatest Athlete EVER!

Im from the UK. Born in Plynouth. I moved to Australia when I was 3. I lived in Australia in Loganholme just outside Brisbane. In  my 11 years growing up there I became entoxicated with the game of basketball. I oviously supported the Brisbane Bullets in Australia locally and played every second I could. But there was another team I watched on TV everyweeknd in the NBA. Chicago Bulls.

I feel priveledged to have been around to watch Michael Jordan orchestrate every night on the court a masterclass in perfection of the game. He impacted the game across 2 generations of players in a way noone else did or since has. Importantly at BOTH ends of the court. He played some of the greatest players in history and came out on top. I have had trouble since 1998 to watch the NBA, it doesnt feel the same anymore.

The game has changed, its not as physical as it was in the 80's and 90's. But the fact that man is missing is hard to bare for someone that watched him dominate the sport in his 6 championships in the fashion that  he did. So I present tis video as a tribute to a time that left many of us basketball fans in awe everytime he played. To Michael Jordan.

who do you root for in cricket? Australia or England?

I won't lie. I skimmed the OP, saw 'Australia' and 'Chicago Bulls' and assumed your favorite athlete was going to be Luc Longley.

I live about 30 minutes away from where Micheal Jordan grew up so I'm biased. He was bigger than Jesus around here when I was a kid. I wasn't even a Bulls fan, to be honest--I liked the Pistons--but yeah, I have no doubts that he is the best I've ever seen.

I'm totally with you man, I grew up watching Michael Jordan work the magic that he can only do. He is still the best player to ever grace the court! Thanks for the video, a great watch!

I was never a Bulls fan, but dude that video warmed my heart. MJ was and still is the best of all time. I mean this dude was so good he stopped playing basketball after winning 3 straight titles, went and played baseball, came back to basketball, dominated again and won three more straight titles. He was nothing short of a freak of nature when it came to basketball - we will never see that again, at least not in our lifetime.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

The things he could do with a basketball... he truly had a gift from god. Not my favorite athlete ever, but he's definitely up there.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
