I don't like to make assumptions when it comes to Nintendo (it only tends to lead to disappointment), but I was pretty dang sure they were going to announce the next Nintendo Direct today, scheduled for tomorrow.  All signs seemed to point to it, least of which being the simple fact that they do one every month and we're rapidly approaching the end of this one.  Then you've got the generally dissatisfied and announcement-hungry state of the Nintendo community at present.  And was it Renegade Kid who was talking about something being revealed tomorrow?

Thoughts?  Do you think it's just a matter of time and we'll definitely get one in the next week?  I hate to admit how much I obsess about this stuff, but here we are, I guess.

There has to be a Nintendo Direct this month to announce the year of Cranky Kong. They have to do it to troll everyone, it's too great an opportunity.

Nope, they skipped this month for western markets, probably because of all the turmoil. They typically release them in the middle of the month, and they did in some Asian countries.

I really hope so, they need a Nintendo Direct as good as 2013 January to gain some hype on this new year. I just really want them to give a date for Smash and a date for X mostly X. PLEASE JUST GIVE ME X.

Next week I guess. Gotta be one soon, we need release dates.

They need to get their asses in gear and hopefully this delay is directly associated with them doing just that.

Damn!! Just had a look at the Japanese charts for last week and Wii U now at 11K.

I would guess they want to do it after the announce financial results. Otherwise any good news they announce will be overshadowed by the bad.
