I don't understand people selling consoles, I see that a lot on message boards.
Comments like "oh, that game looks great, It is a shame I sold my xxxxx a few months ago" or "I sold my xxxxxx because I needed the cash". ¿?¿?¿?

This console is like the Nintendo 64 or the Gamecube, it will have perhaps 3 to 5 great games per year, and once this generation is over you will have a nice library for that console of 15 to 20 games.
The first Playstation had a lot more games than Nintendo 64, but I wouldnt have wanted to miss the 15 to 20 great Nintendo 64 games, which included perhaps the best game ever, Ocarina of Time, and one of the most influential games ever, Mario 64. The same goes for the Gamecube, I wouldn't have wanted to miss Metroid Prime among other games.

That is a good enough investment to me. But if you want to buy at least 2 games every month, then perhaps you should get the Playstation or the Xbone. Those consoles will have far more games.

i never sell consoles. so no.

I almost sold my Wii U so I could get the PS4. The hype gets to you ya know? And with all these amazing games coming out for PS4, it just makes me so excited. The games that are coming out this year for Wii U are to exciting. Mostly smash bros and Monolith softs X is what got me most excited. And I also realize that next year they will probably have better promotions and deals ont he PS4 such as bundling or even a retail store 50 dollar price cut for black friday. Either way, Ill be able to play PS4 games in the end, and by then, the games that come out 2014 will be cheaper. Ill just slowly save for PS4 and then I can have both consoles!

I have two Gamecubes and two PS2's, so it's safe to say I never sell consoles. However, in your case, I'd really recommend keeping it. What games do you like? You Smash and Kart, but there's got to be something else. How about X? We'll hear more about it soon. Metroid? You know that's gonna come eventually. Bayonetta's never going to be anywhere but Wii U. Yarn Yoshi is on its way too. Perhaps you don't like platformers? FExSMT should be interesting. We'll hear something about Zelda at E3 this year, probably get it next spring. And that's just the first party, once things pick up a bit after Smash and Kart you can bet there will be a handful of interesting third party entries like Zombie U. Sure you can rebuy the system once everything comes out, but that's such an inefficient way to handle money. I don't know, might just be the way I do things. There's not much out for PS4 either.

I really am curious exactly what you expect of Wii U though. What would you actually want to see besides Kart and Smash? If you like platformers, I don't know what else you want, the thing is littered with them. If you like Strategy, there's Pikmin, if you like RPGs, there's Monster Hunter, X, and Fire Emblem (which also applies to strategy), if you like action there's Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta and Wonderful 101, racing has Mario Kart, Need For Speed, and Project Cars, I mean the only genre that's sorely lacking is the shooters, which just has a couple COD ports at this point.

What would make you not consider selling it? What exactly are you looking for?

New IPs exculsives, more experienmental games like they did back on the gamecube, one of my favorite consoles. I never wanted a successor to the Wii which was a major step back from the gamecube but great for buisness, I wanted the gamecube back with no stuiped gimmick attach, base on how I feel. I hate the gamepad, I hate the 3d on the 3ds. Its not innovation if its barely use. I want new and better ecperience with games. Chanllenging games such as Donkey Kong and the original Mario games, no more easy games such as most modern mario games, but that could be argue base on game skills so ignore that comment ^^; I want new IPs such as Pikmin or Dillon's Rolling Western, I want Nintendo to realise I along with most of the community have grown as for the new generation of kids are more maturer these days. I wNt Nintendo to stop being the 4kids of gaming and get with the time.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

Why the hell would I sell it?

There are a ton of great games. People are just whiny over the few good 3rd party titles its missing.

Want those? Use Steam or buy PS4/Xbone.

Listen Suke... Do you see your sig? That sig says: “Don’t follow the hype, follow the games”.

I think you should listen to it. Don't fall for the PS4 hype. Wait for games you actually want before selling your Wii U to get a PS4.. There are games for the Wii U coming this year. Follow the games Suke... don't follow the hype.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

I don't have one but I plan on buying one this year.

You should keep it, it has the best games on it for next gen atm and it's still getting quite a few high profile games. Only down side is the 3rd party support.

The Wii U has by far the best exclusives of 2014. It would be a very stupid idea to sell it now.

Actually no, it may not be. Plenty gamers play on console only, and while 3rd party games like the Witcher 3 will end up on PC, they won't see the light of day on the Wii U. I'd say to each his own. I'd gladly take the console with the Witcher 3, Destiny, Thief - along with other third party games that won't be on Wii U - and first party games from MS or Sony over the Wii U if I had to choose one. But that's just me. Mario Kart, Smash Bros and the rest could not compensate for that in my view. Luckily I don't have to make such a choice.

Yeah, it's kind of weird selling a console. It's almost as weird as selling your underwear.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Actually, around 2011, 2012 it was hype that made me continue to support the Wii U. Thourgh 2013, E3 2013, fall.... Barely no games, no promising. I wasn't too big on the PS4 though I always been a Nintendo and Sony guy since tge PS2 and Gamecube days. Its when I follow how Nintendo games and all I see the same that I been seeing for a decade now. I'm bored. It was because of Nintendo why I created that quote. Not only Nintendo but any gaming company.
