i commit suicide.

please understand my family...

Hahah good one!

Really not too farfetched, suicide (Harakiri) is really common in Japan when pride or honour are in stakes. This man has destroyed a 100 year tradition of profits and success.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

I like the retiring option, myself. Look, I told a friend of mine this statement a couple of years after the Wii's launch: "Nintendo is CLEARLY winning the casual market with the Wii. But while this flailing-your-arms-in-the-air fad is kicking butt, the hardcore gaming audience are LABELING them. I don't think they'll forget, once middle aged women are done jumping around the house with Wii Fit..."

And here we are. Good luck, Nintendo. I'd walk, and be on a beach in the Riviera, reminiscing about the success I've made throughout the years...

They've turned their back on the ones that truly gave a damn: the Hardcore Gamer. Now , you've got to EAT IT... :-/

if i am Iwata, i would leave my wife and kids and just spend the cash i hve partying 24/7. thats what i would realistically do if i was Iwata

actually there is only one left possibility. Invest in 3rd party exclusives and make more first party titels. WiiU need the game quality as 3ds had 2013

A nice art learning tool with a stylus input? I think people would buy that.
The Gamepad is not limited by portability issues like the 3DS/DS titles,
you have a bigger screen thus it is much better for drawing.

Hehehe, I see the parallel you are trying to make, uDraw sold so well on the Wii that when it was launched on the "HD" consoles THQ went bankrupt.

With the Gamepad you do have a screen under the resistive touchpad, so you can directly see what you draw. And the losses THQ had to go through with failed uDraw HD launch are already included in Nintendo's recent financial results.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

First I'd go play Smash Bros with Sakurai and Miyamoto. After getting my ass kicked I'd fly to the US and visit NoA headquarters. Then I'd get high with Reggie because I know that dude smokes. Finally I'd head over to Sony headquarters and take a shit on their doorstep. I'd eventually pass out in a drug fueled haze. Wake up in my jail cell and repeat the whole thing over again.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I would go to  Gabe Newell's  house and give him two slutty Asians so that Half-Life 3 becomes a Wii U exclusive.

You know, from a distance that headline looks very insulting.

The PS5 Exists.

Here is what I'd do. I immedately take out the gamepad, replace it with the pro controller and sell the system for $199.99 with NSMB 3D bundled. I'd then sell the gamepad separately for $59.99 and market it like MS marketed Kinect for the 360. Then, I'd drop all games to $50.00 and go to work refining the entire online side of things. I'd create a unified login like XBL, with purchases tied to it. I'd also tie club Nintendo to that name so all Wii purchases could be downloaded and new physical games would be instantly redeemed from the dash board. I would also unlock Blu-Ray playback, or offer the option for a small fee within the store to cover the costs.

Once all of my work was done on Wii-U, I'd then start focusing on the next machine which would have power and controller parody with Sony and MS. I'd ask all third parties what THEY want, and do it. Online would remain free and BC with Wii-U would be native.
