The Wonderful 101's W. I don't know why but I wanted to use a different name on VGChartz rather than my common username which starts with W so I called myself "Legendary_W". Then, after registering, I realized there's a user called LegendaryWolf... There goes the originality of my name.

Same here. I've known VGChartz for many years but I only visited it a few times. When the whole internet started calling the Wii U a failure I found it quite interesting to see how it progressed and how sales reacted to each "major" release, so I got hooked to the site. All I know about VGChartz' history came from the Unity thread, where I started investigating about John Lucas and his predictions. Other than that, my knowledge is pretty slim.

The site creator had a falling out in GAF in regards to sales information.
He got permanently banned and created this site. Few months later I joined and made it worth staying.
(that fallout is why this site is banned from being mentioned at GAF, even though this site have proven over and over again to be a very good indicator of current sell-through)
The site has gone through 3 or 4 major revisions with most recent really being a push to break off into a couple of other sites focused on a gigantic game info library, a review/news site and this being a core sales site with the best gaming forum on the net. (thanks to me as I pointed out above)

Wow, thats quite an interesting thing to learn! I didn't know thats why he created it or that he got banned, thats for sure. Vgchartz is better than Neogaf imo
