Forums - Gaming Discussion - What's a game you loved that everybody else hated (or didn't buy, or your just embarrassed to admit it) and why?

A game that nobody bought? God Hand, for example.

rage - I enjoyed it so much that i decided to go for a platinum trophy

final fantasy 8

Let's see...

Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City
Maybe because it was my first SNES game, but i really liked it.

Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut
Never heard of it before, seemed to be very polarizing, but I bought it after I have seen some gameplay videos, because it reminded me of the good old PS2 times. It became my personal GOTY 2013 and I still listen to it's soundtrack.

Do I really have to say it?

Is it Fantasy XIII Final?

I had a love/hate relationship with Sim City Creator. Sometimes I would want to throw it into the depths of Mt. Doom and other times I would have a craving to make a new city. I'm pretty sure nearly anyone who played that game hated it.

Yarp, most certainly is.

Resistance 3, still can't believe it didn't sell better. Maybe because R2 left a bad taste in a lot of peoples' mouths?

I liked R3 but I only rented it, probably would have bought it if it wasn't for my distaste of R2.  Haven't done a coop marathon play through with a game since that game.  Had only a couple days to beat.

Co-op was a blast, almost as much fun as R1. R3 is one of the few games I actually platted.

the wonderful 101, bravely default ( in europe, but I think 90k for a new IP on a handheld is "okay" )

loved is a little bit too much but i certainly liked

re6 because i don't play every god damm shooter out there so i don't mind if this one is more action oriented

and

ffxiii because i don't mind liniarity and compared to a lot of other people out there, i was able to follow the overall plot and liked the characters as well

but of course that does not mean that both games were perfect.

The SpongeBob point-and-click PC games were awesome. (Employee of the Month and Movie)

also Starfox Assault was good except for the tedious land missions.
