I just wanted to know your guys thoughts on Miiverse.  I think it is pretty cool although I don't log onto it as much as I did when it first came out.  I enjoy seeing some cool drawings on startup before I load a game or Netflix/Hulu.  I tried a few drawings myself but they are nowhere near as good as some people's drawings.  Here are a few of my Miiverse post.

It was nice that they increased the character limit from 100 to 200 (I believe).  They seem to be gradually improving the service.  I know some people have issue with moderations (D21) but I have only been moderated once (when I referenced alcohol).

For those that have used Miiverse do you enjoy it and how should they improve it?

It's okay, I guess.

Speaking from experience, I enjoy the occasional posts that pops up during loading screens.

Edit: Point being I find the rest of it somewhat redundant by the sound of it, so I haven't checked it out.

No thoughts on how to improve it?  I never used it much on asking for help in a game but it seems that there a decent amount of people that get help for other people.  Being able to record gameplay would be nice (like 30 secs to a min) but that probably won't happen till their next system.  Plus they would probably cut any mic or audio so people aren't jackasses.

You were moderated for referencing alcohol? They need to fix how strict they with the moderating.

I find there isn't enough tools on there for grooming children like there was in Nintendo letter box!


No seriously tho, I downloaded it the first night it was out and used it a bit, drew some shitty pics of angry birds things and one of the skylanders, had some people give them a Yeah and then haven't reopened it since. In place of an actual service like XBL or PSN where you can message people directly and properly and invite them to play the games in the community then it's just kinda shitty.

edit - my NNid is the same as my psn and xbl one which is in my sig... but the only game I play online on my 3ds is Tetris DS which still needs you to use the NDS friend code and stuff to play against someone so there really isn't a point in adding me or following me... or whatever way they've rewording "adding someones gamertag"

I used to use it all the time on my laptop but they changed the security settings and now I dont know how to change them to log on on non Nintendo devices =(

Miiverse has potential for sure.Though there are some issues that hinder it.Firstly it needs to let the users upload their videos.It could have so many uses and increase the interest for the games and the gamers.Secondly developers should be more active in the communitites in my opinion.Only indies and Sakurai seem to care so far.A chat functionality would be great too.Moderators need to relax a bit and think of a way to get rid of nonsense posts as miiverse is full of them and they steal the attention that could go to good ones.Facebook and Twitter intergation would be a good move too.

I bet almost every single one of the people who voted they hate it have not actually used the service. To me, Miiverse is actually really amazing, its like a combination of Tumblr and Twitter solely for gaming, its something never attempted and somthing new. Not only is it really fun but it has integration with most games, you just click the miiverse icon and it screencaps your screen so you can ask for help on anything your having trouble with, it has helped me sooo much. There is a lot that can be improved definitely. They need to be more open about friends and improve the network overall to be a more open experience. It feels like your too isolated from friends, and voice hat integration needs to happen. The moderators are waaaay to strict too seriously, they need to care more about the people who will use the social network correctly not freaking small children as much. It should have an option to sensor it for 12 and younger only.

I love it, even if it doesn't love me. Somebody has been reporting pretty much any screenshot I post as a spoiler--even a pic I posted of the words "The End" from A Link Between Worlds or a pic of Batman punching the Joker from Arkham Origins. It killed my momentum. Anyway, improvements:

-color posts!
-ability to create discussion topics
-a "mature" area where we can speak more freely. I mean, I can post a pic of beheadings and drugs from mature games but I can't mention beer? WTF?
-should be a "developer's voice" section where they answer our questions and see what we're excited about
-I gotta go to work. Fuck.

500 miles from home, brought my 360 and the goddam LG TV in the hotel doesn't recognize my HDMI and no charger for my laptop and my Vita's remote play with PS3 (how I inteded to monitor my home via PSEye) doesn't even fucking work.. This week is gonna suck.
