PS2 sold 980k in launch week in Japan

Day 1: 600k
Day 2: 380k

Ethomaz, until when exactly is this prediction set for, week after japan launch? end of feb? end of march?

The week that VGC shows the Japan numbers for PS4.

the Gap now is 1.4 million. we are what, 6 weeks away from japan launch? averging out a 50k-80k difference between PS4 and XB1 until jp launch that would add up to 300k-480k. add to that a 290-350k or so from japan launch. that would add up to minimum a 590k or a maximum of 830. so the number should be between 2 or 2.2 million difference. thats the way i see it atleast. 

The lowest I'm expecting for Japan is 500k... FF Beta and Deep Down will move consoles there.

There is no fun if I make a prediction without push PS4 to extreme

deep down isnt at launch, even if it were, its still not that big of a game.

a beta wont move consoles. even though, lets say that 500k figure happens. you would need the PS4 to outsell the XB1 by 1.1 million in the rest of the world in 6 weeks. basically the PS4 would need to outsell the XB1 by an average of 183k every week. it simply wont happen. PS4 sold 180k this week, let alone outselling the XB1 by that much. you would basiclly need japan to do 1 million in its first week, with PS4 outselling XB1 on an average of 80k per week, those japan numbers simply wont happen. 

 2M before Japan launch, then 3M, when sony will announce the 1M sales in Japan ( we should wait for an official announcement before making Ethomaz eat crows or not ) , they could wait for fiscal year end to announce it

I'm expecting bigger PS4 shipments next week, i see +200k, maybe 250k one week , and X1 will reach 80k at the best next week.
