Yes. I'm not going to predict how many sales per year of the PS3. I just think it'll get to the 100 million mark.

It needs a price cut badly, 250 for a 7 year old ps3 in simply insane. Only 150 cheaper then a ps4.

The old systems are dead. It's not going to get to 100m. PS3 has around 3m units of life left in the US, around 1m in Japan. Europe a bit more, the rest of the world more, but...not enough for 100m. I lean towards about 93m personally.

Won't even come close. People expecting ps2 legs are in for a reality check. It's going to peak at 90M, 92-93M if it's lucky.

I don't think so. PS4 seems to have no trouble selling, while the PS2's lifespan was extended because PS3 failed to catch on early in its life. Even if it doesn't sell 100m, PS3 still did extraordinarily well for itself, considering the first few years of its life.

PS2 did 50M. PS1 did 28M. The pattern seems to be a little 50% of the total when the sucessor launches. That would give around 35M. I'm betting on something between 23-27M.

People that game and have money will buy PS4s because they already have a PS3. Who doesn't have a PS3 yet, is probably because it couldn't afford one. These people are waiting for PS3 to drop price and can only dream about a PS4.
